Selling my 1994 Chevrolet Caprice. Former Police Car. I've had this car since 2008 as my daily driver. It has been a great car, for me. After having a new baby, the Chevy has been parked and not used for the past year. The wife didn't feel comfortable sitting in the back behind the cage alone with the baby. THE GOOD: Car is strong and powerful and starts and runs excellent. MAJOR FIXES: 1. Rear Engine Oil Leak. It's not horrible, but certainly needs to be fixed which entails dropping transmission to get to the leak. 2. Will need a new water pump. Car does not run hot, but pump is leaking. 3. Car DID NOT PASS most recent California Smog Certification. The speculation is because it's been sitting for as long as it has. HC (PPM) Measured 78@15mph. Max allowed is 55. Measured 69@25mph. Max allowed is 31. NO (PPM) Measured 681@15mph. Max allowed is 474. Measured 604@25mph. Max allowed is 476. 4. Car is currently PNO Status with California DMV on file. Past due registration to drive is approximately $120 through August of 2014. 5. None of the Smog Business applies for non-California registration. 6. Car will need new tires. The set on now is probably less than 3mm and needs to be replaced. MINOR FIXES: 1. Horn and trunk release are not working. 2. Right front passenger window is slow. 3. Bright light indicator needs to be adjusted. 4. A/C needs a seal installed to prevent leaks. I have the seal, just haven't installed it. 5. Left rear power window lever is missing. 6. Various paint chips and a few dings. You can see the car here:
