This auction is for a 1971 Monte Carlo SS 454 rolling body shell. This car has pretty much been picked clean of everything, but it is a real SS 454 with a partial build sheet and clean title. The RH quarter panel is an NOS GM panel that has been fully installed…the LH quarter panel has been patched (poorly). The wheels and tires are almost new (14” American Racing wheels with tires that have 95% tread and blue coating on the white letters). The doors are in good shape. The front floors have some rust up to the toe board, but the back floors are very nice. The trunk is rusty. There is some trim in the trunk, but I don’t think you’ll get much out of it. All the glass comes with the car. The dash housing is cracked on the bottom and the dash pad has some cracks. It is missing the following: almost all the interior, the drivetrain, F41 suspension and disc brakes, front sheet-metal, chrome, wiring, heat/AC, options, etc. What you see in the pictures is what you get. I don’t have any of the missing parts, so don’t ask. I bought the car because it still had the 12 bolt rear and control arms on it…I used them in another ’71 Monte that I sold a few weeks ago, but everything else was gone when I bought the car. I replaced the rear and arms with a 10 bolt open end rear and stock arms to keep it a roller. I’m just looking to recoup a little of the money I put out for the car, and keep it from being crushed for scrap value. It would be a project to say the least, but if you have a donor car, this would be a neat foundation because it is one of only 1919 SS 454 Monte Carlos produced in 1971. The V.I.N on the car, Title, and partial build sheet all match. It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange all shipping and removal of the car. It can be picked up in person evenings and weekends.
