Vehicle Detail

I am selling this very nice survivor because it's too nice for me to own. This is a classic "little old lady" owned car that has been garaged all but five years of its life. It has perfect seat upholstery except for a spot on the driver's side, glass and headliner/door panels. The floor mat is dry rotted and cracked and will need replaced. The motor runs and sounds great! Since it hadn't been started in about fifteen years, I soaked the cylinders with oil so as not to scuff the cylinder walls if a ring was stuck. I drained the oil out of the cylinders, primed the oil pump, and she fired right up! It burned off all the residual oil in the cylinders and manifolds and stopped smoking. It will smoke a little on startup, since I haven't had a chance to really warm her up and get the seals to swell up. I rebuilt the master cylinder and bought new brake lines and wheel cylinder repair kits, but haven't put them on. It's the only thing that's kept me from driving her. Anything I bought for this car goes with it, except the battery I've been using to start it with. I was shocked how cleanly this thing shifts. The clutch was strong enough to hold the car on a pretty good incline. The broken manifold in one of my pictures has been replaced. There are a few dents and dings, one being a scrape on the passenger side fender/door that can probably be massaged out. The rear wheel arches are rusty but not hopeless, there's some surface rust on the floorboards, not anything through. Very solid body.292 V-8 motor, 3-on-the-tree manual transmission.I have every pink slip (minus one or two) from 1958 with some of the original dealer paperwork.Trim is in excellent condition, even on the dented fender.Glass is perfect. Clean title.I'm selling this car because I need the money to pay some upcoming lawyer fees. Very unfortunate, since my wife and I really loved this car. This is a no reserve auction, so bid away and drive it on your trailer after you pay me. Note--you must pay in full this weekend. My loss, your gain!
