1963 CHEVROLET CORVAIR MONZA SPYDER CONVERTIBLE with 49,692 believed to be original miles, but we cannot verify this. This car runs and drives nicely with great power from the FACTORY TURBO-CHARGED 6-CYLINDER ENGINE making a factory-estimated 150 horsepower, backed by a factory 4-speed manually-shifted transmission. This car is a great starter car into the collector car hobby. You can drive this car as-is while you upgrade the paint, interior and generally freshen it up! I've just gotten this car and I've put about 20 miles on it and it really runs, drives, shifts and stops nicely. With it's rear-engine, rear wheel drive layout, these Corvairs are a blast to drive! This car could benefit from a new paint job as it shows some fading, dulling, chips and patina. Similarly, the seats could use some upholstery work and the manually-operated top has two very small holes on the driver's side (I've tried to capture these in the photos). The spare is on the car as one of the older radials on the vehicle separated just before I purchased the car. The car shows minimal evidence of rust-perforation--only some minor surface rust in the chips in the paint and a few minor bubbles over the rear wheels. The car appears to have suffered some collision damage in the rear of the car which was professionally repaired many years ago, perhaps when the car was still relatively new. The car runs, drives and tracks straight and true indicating the repair work was properly done. In summary, this is a great little car to enter the collector hobby with, add to your collection, or use as a daily driver. The car needs little in the way of maintenance and most gauges appear to work, though the tachometer works intermittantly and the cylinder head temp gauge doesn't appear to work, the other gauges work as do the lights, wipers, turn signals, horn, etc. This car is being sold 'as-is/how-is' with no warranty expressed or implied...PLEASE ASK ANY/ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING AS ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
