This is a no reserve auction. I purchased this car new which was eventually passed on to my daughter. This car shows very light wear for a high mileage vehicle. It has never been wrecked or damaged. The body shows no rust. The paint is in good condition with the normal nicks and small dents you would expect. There are several small dents in the doors. No cracks in the glass. The plastic trim is in good shape. The interior is in good shape with no rips or tears. The floor mats are stained, but the carpet is very good. The rear compartment is clean with no damage. The rear seats fold down and up smoothly The air conditioning blows cold. All controls and gauges appear to work. The power windows and door locks work as does the remote. The rear window release works. All doors operate smoothly including the rear gate. The transmission shifts smoothly and operates correctly. The differential operates quietly and the fluid was changed by Honda about 3 years ago. The brakes work correctly and do not pull. New tires and alignment about 18 months ago. Front tires have about 70% remaining tread and the rear tires about 50%. A new radiator was installed about 3 years ago. The engine starts easily but will not idle when cold. After warming up it idles slowly and roughly. Because of the low idle speed there is not enough vacuum at idle to operate the brakes safely although they do work properly at speed. The engine has a miss at any speed and low power. A compression test showed two of four cylinders with low compression. All four spark plugs were clean with no oil fowling or carbon build up. The check engine light is on. There is no blue or white smoke from the exhaust although it does smell strongly of gasoline. The car is not safe to drive in this condition. The oil is clean and the antifreeze has no noticeable oil contamination. No noticeable leaks. The state inspection is good until 4/2014.
