Vehicle Detail

1949 CHEVROLET STYLELINE DeLUXE UNMOLESTED, ORIGINAL CONDITION! Up for bid is a 1949 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 4 door sedan. This car is unmolested with the original 6 cylinder 216 CI engine and 6 Volt electrical system. I purchased this lovely 1949 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 4 door sedan in September 2007 from a gentleman in Orange County , California . At the time of purchase the car had accumulated 82,800 miles and since then I've hardly added any extra miles. The car came in Satin Green color but I had it painted Blue shortly after purchase. The VIN# is 6GKH H 31409 indicating the car was built at the GM plant in Oakland, California. The car was originally sold new in Sacramento , California and has always remained a California car. I have performed very little work with the exception of changing a Fuel Pump, and a couple of other minor items. The car is rust free...solid and runs great. This car came with all the service history dating back to 1949 including the original Owners Manual with dates of Oil changes noted in the back pages of the manual. I have the history of the car going back all the way to the original purchaser by a woman named Lois Hansaker of Grass Valley, California. She purchased the car on August 20, 1949 from Vogel Chevrolet of Sacramento for $1644. At the age of 91 in 1977 Lois sold the car to gentleman in Antioch, California. The car remained in storage until 1991 when it was sold again. I became the 4th owner of the car when I purchased it in 2007. I recently changed the fuel pump. The car starts and runs great. This Chevy is truly a very solid rust free car that has been kept garaged and driven very little. One item of note...this car has a 1950 trunk lid handle installed but can be easily removed and replaced with the original 49 handle. This is common in many 49/50 models since they were almost identical with minor trim and ornament differences. This car is located in Glendale, California just a few miles north of Los Angeles. Note: This car is being sold as is with no warranty. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (818) 968-2836 Please feel free to also e-mail me at htoronians@prodigy.net. for more information and pictures. I have over 13 K invested in the car and now I'm offering a very reasonable price in order to sell. Note: The buyer is responsible for pickup and delivery of this vehicle.
