SOLID SOUTHERN V-8 SHORT BED TRUCK….PERFECT TO MAKE A STREET ROD/CRUISER!!!! 1979 FORD F-100 CUSTOM SHORT BED Up for auction is this 1979 Ford Truck with matching numbers drive train and only 116,500 miles. The truck came with power steering (works fine) and cigarette lighter delete. It has a 302/2v with manual 3-speed transmission! Engine was rebuilt at 94,000 miles; it runs great and does not smoke….cranks very easily. The undercarriage is VERY SOLID and very clean as well. The truck has had only 2 owners and has been in northwest Alabama its whole life. It has never been wrecked and has been well taken care of since new. This truck is an excellent candidate for a customized truck that needs very little body work and very little mechanical work. Please ask any questions for more information and if needed, more pictures. This is a 34 year old truck that has never been restored. It has very solid original sheet metal with minimal rust. (small bubbles over right rear fender, light surface across cowl, other small areas). It has chips, scratches, small dents and other blemishes.
