Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false Hello, I am selling my tastefully-modified, low-mileage 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra. I'm only selling the vehicle because I'm looking to upgrade and don't want two car payments (*). If you know anything about these cars, I don't need to tell you that you will absolutely fall in love with this machine once you get behind the wheel. The car has been owned in sunny Florida for the past few years, has seen MORE than its fair share of detail sessions and waxings. The factory-supercharged 4.6 liter V8 has only 55,000 miles and runs flawlessly. (*) Please note that the car is currently financed, so please see the 'Payment Information' section below. Here are the modifications that have been performed: - JLT High Boost cold air intake - Accufab Big Oval throttle body - After market ported supercharger elbow - Ported Eaton supercharger - 2.76 upper pulley - Billetflow idler pulleys (4) - Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump - 60lb injectors - Aftermarket 8-8.5qt oil pan - Kooks longtube headers - Bassani off road X-pipe - Bassani cat-back exhaust with 4in tips - Moroso intercooler and radiator tanks - AFCO dual pass heat exchanger - Ford Racing radiator - Ebiach lowering springs - Tokico shocks on all four corners - Steeda IRS brace - Steeda Tri-Ax short throw shifter - Centerforce DFX clutch - Spec aluminum flywheel - Anti-Venom T56 modification - After market 17in chrome replica wheels (9in in the front, 10in deep dish in the rear) - Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates - Drilled and slotted rotors on all four corners - HID 8000k headlights and fog lights - Hood vent modification (properly vents heat) - Redline Tuning hood struts - Dual Aeroforce Interceptor gauges (Awesome gauges-- show a ton of information about the car) - Glowshift boost gauge - Innovate LC-1 Wideband - JLT driver side PCV catch can - JLT passenger side PCV filter - PPRV Delete - ‘COBRA’ bumper inserts - Clifford G5 car alarm system - Short radio antenna - Tuned by Monty at JMS 93 octane (460whp/452wtq) (See dyno graph) Other goodies included with purchase: - Refurbished steel flywheel - Never used Metco 4lb lower pulley - Never used Glowshift fuel pressure gauge - SCT X3 handheld tuner with tune Maintenance I have performed since I purchased the car: - Front tires replaced with Nitto NT555s at 51,000 miles - Motorcraft Fuel Filter replaced at 51,000 miles - NGK TR6 spark plugs changed at 52,000 miles - Royal Purple 5w20 oil change with Royal Purple filter at 53,000 miles - Royal Purple Syncromax transmission fluid change at 53,000 miles - Ford Racing intercooler pump replaced at 53,000 miles - Intercooler fluid system flushed and refilled at 53,000 miles I am attempting to be as transparent as possible with the condition of the car (I hate surprises, and I feel that you should, too). That being said, here is a list of current known quirks/issues: - Tuner recommended the highly-common PPRV delete mod to remove hesitation between shifts. Since then, the issue has been remedied. However, because of this modification, the fuel returns back to the fuel tank (similar to an actual return style fuel system) when the car is shut off and as a result the car needs to be primed prior to cranking. (The key needs to be flipped on-off a few times to build up fuel pressure in the lines.) - The paint on the car is in great shape overall. I have gone through great pains to keep the paint swirl-free. Many man-hours have been spent detailing this vehicle. However, it should be noted: there are two scratches. One on the driver side front quarter panel and one on the driver side door (see photos). These were here from the previous owners and I am unsure of how they occurred. Also, there are a few rock chips on the front fascia. - The passenger side fog light operates intermittently. For long stretches of time, it will work, and then randomly it will not come on. This may just be an issue with the HID ballast, which is fairly cheap/easy to replace. - Due to being a lowered car there are some scrapes on the K-member, oil pan, and the longtube headers (see photos). It should be noted that they are strictly cosmetic and no mechanical issues have resulted. Just a sacrifice that was made by the previous owner for looks vs. function. - The tint on the car is dark. I haven't actually had it tested, but felt that the next owner (you) should be aware. - The alarm system is very sensitive. It is configurable, but I prefer it to go off to protect the vehicle. A manual to the alarm system is included. - The shift knob has a worn spot on rear side of the handle. Again, I don't need to tell you that the car is a great piece of machinery. If the pictures don't already convey that message, a single drive in the car absolutely will. It looks great, sounds great, and drives even better. If I could, I would absolutely keep it, but I'm ready for something new. It turns heads everywhere, so be prepared for gas station conversations and the occasional thumbs-up. I have enjoyed every second of driving it and am positive that the next owner will, as well. It has only seen rain twice since being in my possession (a bit of a garage queen, to say the least). When I'm not driving the car, it has been washed, waxed, garaged, and covered. Payment Information: The car is currently financed through Martin Federal Credit Union. Upon purchase, a $500 non-refundable deposit will be due via PayPal within 24 hours. Full payment must be made within 7 days after the close of auction. I owe less than the asking price, so I will handle paying off the bank note, and will have the credit union send the title directly to you (the buyer). Only cash, payment via PayPal (fee paid by the buyer), or cashier’s check accepted. Sorry, no personal checks or money orders. The seller (me) reserves the right to cancel the auction at any time (the car is also for sale locally) before the close of the auction. Things to note: I have been very honest throughout this ad. This car is not my daily driver and I have taken extra-special care of the car since I have owned it. If you have any questions about any modifications or anything that has to do with the car or this auction please do not hesitate to ask. I will be more than happy to provide my phone number and e-mail address to any interested parties via Ebay's messaging system. Also, I am more than willing to provide additional photos by email, if desired. Thanks for looking!
