Vehicle Detail
Bought from a dealers lot three years ago and used as my daily driver. It had no signs of every having been used off road when I bought it and I have never taken it off road though I did make some upgrades for better looks and dealing with the snow where I live. Everything works – all the power windows, power lock and power seat functions, cruise control etc. AC blows could. Below are pictures, specs, details and things done while I have owned it. Body: Salt free, no rust problems anywhere. Only has one dent down low on the passenger side that’s shown in the pictures. Paint: lots of nicks and small scratches that don’t show up in photographs. The paint clear coat is bad in many places on the upper surfaces. Opening style of vent windows. I replaced the gray painted bumpers with new chrome ones front and rear and added tow hooks on the front. Windshield has chips and a crack by the drivers pillar. Interior: Is as perfect as appears in the pictures. I had worn areas on the drivers seat and steering wheel re-colored and the drivers area carpet replaced. The dash is perfect, headliner is perfect with zero sags, and the rest looks close to new. Chassis: Front Axle – 3.55 High Pinion Dana 30 with 760X U-Joints do the being factory ABS equipped, Replaced fluids. Rear Axle – 3.54 Dana 44 with Trac-Loc out of a 1987 Cherokee that was rebuilt with new Ten Factory axles, new clutch packs in the Trac-Loc, all new bearings, seals and wheel cylinders etc. Lifted front with 2” spacer and extented gas shocks, Lifted 3” rear with shackles and air shocks. Replaced front track bar but I still get a some shimmy on rutted freeways. Wrangler Ravine wheels bought new. 235/75/15 street tread tires with 1/3 tread Power Train: 4.0 straight 6, runs great - doesn’t smoke, uses half a quart of oil every oil change, Injecters replaced with rebuilt 703/Neon injectors, replaced water pump, belt and hoses, recent tune up with cap, wire, plugs, TPS sensor, and IAC valve. New copper brass radiator, New Muffler. You can hear the fuel pump sometimes and I expected it would need replacing but it has never given me any problems or got worse 4-speed Aisin AW-4 automatic transmission – full flush and filter done NP242 transfercase – Fluid changed Annoyances: Rear seat back latches squeak when hitting bumps – installed new rubber bumpers in the latches but still does it. Rear hatch interior panel vibrates when hitting bumps – installed new trim clips but still does it.
