Lee Iacocca started a friendship with the late Alejandro de Tomaso while at Ford, which led to the De Tomaso Pantera. During the 1980s, Iacocca headed Chrysler while De Tomaso was owner of the historic Maserati brand. In 1984, both companies signed a memorandum of understanding to create a sport coupe, which ultimately became the TC. Chrysler also became an investor in Maserati during that period. In 1985, Lee Iacocca stated that the planned Q-coupe would be the prettiest Italian to arrive stateside since his mother immigrated.The TC featured a detachable hard top with opera windows and a manually operated cloth lined convertible top. This car has a black convertible top in like new condition. The TC's dash, door panels, seats, armrest, and rear facia panels were covered in hand-stitched Italian leather and are not showing any wear. Inside door jambs were finished with stainless steel panels and sill plates. The convertible boot, over which the hardtop rests, is a body colored metal panel. A special interior storage compartment came with an umbrella, tool kit that is included in the sale of this car. Standard equipment included a 10-speaker Infinity AM/FM cassette stereo, power windows, 6-way power seats, power door and trunk locks, map lights, puddle lamps, cruise control, and tilt steering wheel.The only extra cost option available for the TC was a CD player that was a plug-in attachment to the standard Infinity AM/FM cassette stereo and this car has
the CD player installed.

Payment: Items will not be available for pickup or shipping until full payment is received and cleared by our local bank. Buyer has 7 days to pay. Warranty: Equipment is covered by manufacturers warranty only.
Fee and Tax Information: We are a Florida dealer and are required to collect tax if you pick up the car yourself in Florida. If your state is reciprocal with Florida you will be credited for tax paid in Florida when you register the car in your home state. Currently 3 states do not allow credit for tax paid in Florida. They are Arkansas, Mississippi, and West Virginia.
If you contract a shipper yourself and have the car picked up then we are not required to collect sales tax.

The Francis Motor Sports team has made every possible effort to accurately depict and describe this vehicle and disclose any and all known information regarding its condition and/or wear. While sometimes tempted, we will never describe a listing as “perfect”, and any buyer should expect signs of typical wear given a vehicles age and mileage. We always do our best to disclose any major scratches, dents, or other imperfections, but occasionally we miss things. Please call prior to bidding or submitting offers to discuss vehicle condition. Actual mileage may differ from advertised mileage due to test drives and demonstrations. Buyers will be provided with all applicable items that were provided to us with the automobile. Please do not expect that all listings will come complete with all keys, manuals, floor mats, navigation discs, service records.
Francis Motor Sports recommends that every buyer visually inspect his or her purchase prior to final sale. We are more than happy to arrange for any necessary ground transportation should you choose to visit our showroom in SW Florida. We welcome you to arrange for an outside inspection should you not be able to personally travel to Fort Myers. Understand that all outside inspections must be arranged for by the Buyer and must take place in Fort Myers or at our facility. Any costs related to an outside inspection will be the responsibility of the Buyer.
