Autoblog Aug 17th 2008 - To celebrate its 100th birthday, GM paraded its most iconic and classic cars from the last century on Woodward Ave through metro Detroit during the Dream Cruise festivities. Chevrolet, Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick and Olds were all represented. Rick Wagoner, GM’s CEO at the time, held the final position behind the XLR-V in an all-new ethanol powered Corvette pace car (bookended by black Chevy Suburbans containing executive security). On this day, Rick autographed the XLR-V. Six months later, he was ousted as CEO. Picture of the signing included in eBay posting. This XLR-V is in outstanding condition and perfoms flawlessly. Everything works exactly as it should. Garaged winters and when not in use. Nothing broken and no leaks from the outside in and none from below. No interior tears. Never accidented. For full disclosure, there are two minor paint chips on the lip of the trunk which I’ve circled on a picture included in the listing. They’ve been professionally retouched with color-matching paint. I have touch up paint left over that I’ll provide. Has 18,804 on at present time. I drive it about 50 miles on the weekend so expect to do that again.
