It shifts smoothly through all the gears and drives great. This is a wonderful classic automobile for any classic car collector or true Porsche enthusiast to drive and enjoy. Except for the paint and new dash - (not a dash cover), this example is original. High demand for air cooled 911's has become far greater than the available supply driving market prices through the proverbial Sunroof. If you have been searching for a solid rust-free 911SC Sunroof Coupe that has been well maintained. . . here it is! Leather interior, rare items such as the complete factory tool kit, factory air pump, and original unused customer pick-up Tour Pass books. The Details - This 1983 911 SC Sunroof Coupe is basically all original thru-out. It has a gorgeous no-hit, rust-free arrow straight body and floor pan chassis. Re-painted by previous owner due to fading. Not the greatest paint job but still shines and presents nicely as such with lots of attitude. All the trim, very nice factory tinted glass, and emblems are in presentable original condition. No typical cuts in the front or rear black rubber bumperettes. It has the original legendary Fuchs Alloy wheels with newer Dunlop (front) and Toyo (rear) radial tires that have good tread depth. The original tan leather interior is mostly well preserved but displays wear in the usual places. The matching tan headliner is really nice and with a touch of a button the electric Sunroof opens and closes smoothly. It has every amenity one could imagine from a sports car of this time period and it is well appointed thru-out the interior. Jump in it and immediately you feel like hitting the open road. The chassis is rock solid, rust-free and was always garage kept. The Mechanics - The heart of this Porsche 911SC is its factory original 3.0L Overhead Cam Six-Cylinder air-cooled masterpiece engine that has legendary performance and is running. These 911 3.0L engines are considered one of the finest, most reliable, longest lasting engines ever produced. Thanks to an Hi-Torque starter upgrade, the car starts easily, is running strong and shifts smoothly through the gears. Original Bosch starter that was removed is included. All upgrades such as Carrera chain tensioners - pop off valve etc. have been performed. Maintenance well documented with receipts. The suspension is very tight and is equipped with Bilstein (green) shocks. Built with German high quality, the air-cooled 911SC is considered one the finest driving, handling and braking Sports cars of all time.
