Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. Car has complete, original Tinted Carlite factory glass. Drivers side is not shown in pics but is laying in car in perfect condition. The remaining stainless window trim on the car appears to be in almost mint condition. Its missing from the drivers side front windshield . The matching Door Tag, Vin Plate, and Buck Tag are all intact. Per the prior owner, it has the original matching 351 & Close Ratio 4 Speed & Original Traction-Lok Rear. I have the title in hand, I have never transferred it into my name. I have decoded the Buck Tag the best I can and found the following: GT- GT Equipment; TT- Two Tone Hood; DE- Dual Exhaust; CL- Convenience Lights; RM- Racing Mirrors; MO- Rocker Moldings; PS- Power Steering; HP- Hood Pins; 3A- Black Mach 1 Knitted Vinyl; T- Candy Apple Red. Per the Marti Report I have, it was ordered with: 4 Speed close Ratio; Traction Lok Differential; E70x14 Belted tires; White Sidewall Tires; Power Steering; Am Radio; Tinted Glass-Complete; Tachometer; Built at Metuchen; Candy Apple Red paint W/Blackout Hood Treatment; Black Clarion Knit/Vinyl Mach 1 Hi-Back Bucket Seats. It clearly had the deck lid spoiler and rear louvers, as the perfect matching holes are there. There is no interior with this sale. The door panels in the car have speaker holes cut out, no seats or console, No instrument cluster tach or clock and the rest of the remaining interior panels don't seem to be salvageable. In reference to the body, it is completely rotted. In my opinion to the point of disrepair. Heavy rot on every panel including, but not limited to the roof, doors, fenders, hood, quarter panels floor pans, trunk, etc. The only good panels seem to be the cowl, deck lid, Quarter extensions, grill Hood Scoop, Side Scoops and perhaps some small misc parts. I bought this car to do a re-body with another date matching rust free, Mach 1 rolling chassis I had. However I just don't have the time to put into it myself, or money to pay someone else to do everything. It's the ideal car for someone else who does have the time or money to do so. This is for local pick up only as the car cannot be driven onto a carrier or in a trailer. NOTE: You will need a winch or come-along to get this car on a trailer, as the rear tires are flat and I cannot get them off to replace them and the leaf springs are pushed up into the trunk.(it has been like this since I purchased it). I have tried to describe this car as best I could and as to the best of my knowledge. I will update the listing If there is anything additional I can think of our as it is brought to my attention. Please feel free to ask any and all questions prior to bidding and I will do everything I can to answer them. On Sep-15-13 at 09:38:31 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: To answer a couple questions I have received The drivers side leaf spring is the only side pushed through the trunk. the passenger side seems to be fine. The motor is NOT seized, as I have taken a socket and breaker bar and turned the crank. Additionally, the Power Steering Pump, Alternator, and Water Pump all spin freely. Yesterday, I heated up the rear lug nuts and have gotten them all off. I have a spare wheel that im going to try and take and have junk tire mounted. this should help a bit with moving/loading the car. The interior Quarter Panels are in really good shape. They only need to be cleaned and re-dyed. Both are included with the sale. Any additional questions, please feel free to ask.
