Vehicle Detail
This car was my daily commuter Warrensburg, NY – downtown Albany 67mi one way. (3 mi through town to the Interstate, then straight shot at 65). I am the original owner and I have religiously used Amsoil 0-20W oil & Amsoil filters at 15k interval (25k recommended interval). Engine runs solid no oil burner here. The engine starts immediately and runs strong. It has developed a slight rattle in the engine compartment while sitting. But at this price, that is your concern. I replaced the CVT transmission at around 250k. (Also changed CVT Fluid at 15k since then. I averaged around 50 mpg with this car. I've let it sit for over a year and now the rotors have some rust on them. In my experience the roughness will wear off after 20 or 30 miles of stop & go driving. The pads aren't hanging up just making that rough sound when you hit the brakes. I'm calling the car a mechanics special because it has the check engine light on. I just went out to get the mileage and now it's off, but the 12v battery light is on! New 12v battery last May? The battery spins it over just fine and she starts right up. But I'd bet the check engine light will come back on as soon as you go to get it inspected. It's impossible to get an inspection sticker in NY with the check engine light on. The gas tank was filled and Stabil added last year before I parked it to minimize condensation and stabilize the fuel. The tires are (4) almost new Michelins. The interior is in good shape considering mileage and year. It will need a thorough cleaning and detailing. I just parked it and left it. I can't get over the absurdity of ebay not playing nicely with any other browser than Internet Explorer! Bill Gates must own a controlling share of ebay. I just wasted several hours of my day trying to figure out a way to seamlessly link my photos of this car only to find out that because I'm not able to use Internet Explorer I'm out of luck! I have tried to link to picasa & Flickr with the same results. PHOTOS AVAILABLE AT THIS LINK - http://flic.kr/p/fMZr2k
