For sale is our 1997 Lexus LX 450 (Toyota Land Cruiser HJZ-80) with 128.800 miles on the clock. This is likely one of the finest examples you can find for sale today. This vehicle is in excellent condition inside and outside. Absolutely every single feature, every light, every switch, knob and lever works the way it is supposed to, as it did when it left the factory. I have not been able to take the car off-road, but I know it is one of the most capable and dependable vehicles ever made. The car was leased by the first owner who bought it after the lease was up and kept it for 12 years. All of the scheduled maintenance up to 98.000 miles was done by Metro Lexus in Cleveland. I bought it thru a friend at an auction almost 4 years ago. It has been well cared for and maintained throughout it's life, both by the prior owner and myself. Here is a detailed description of the car's condition: Engine, Drivetrain & Mechanical: The engine runs smooth, transmission shifts seamlessly, and brakes have at least 50% life left in them. It cruises at 75 MPH effortlessly and feels very smooth. Low range also works perfectly, and rear & front lockers engage correctly. It also has 4 new highway tires that were put on the vehicle less than 4 weeks ago (Kumho Roadian HT 275/75R16). Since I got it, I have changed the oil on it myself every 3500 miles using factory recommended 5W-30, along with Toyota air and oil filters. All other major and preventive maintenance has been performed at a local import specialist (closest Lexus dealer is 120 miles away). Exterior: The exterior of this car is in great condition, with only minor blemishes, as expected on a 16 year old vehicle that is driven regularly. There are no door dings, dents or scratches on the body, and only some scratches on the pewter colored moldings. The paint shines everywhere on it, and there are no rust bubble spots in any place. There are only a couple of details I will describe below: There is a 2 in. scratch on the rear lift gate, next to the rear windshield washer nozzle. The hood has three small rock chips (I fixed a fourth one myself but did not like the result so left the rest of them alone). I believe the car has all original paint except for the hood and passenger side front fender. These were repainted by the prior owner due to cosmetic damage. The front bumper has some rock chips that were fixed as well but it's not perfect. I had all four corner bumper ends painted but the shop did not do a great job. The bumper end on the front passenger side has some paint peeling. The driver side rear has some minor peeling as well. The other two have minimal scratches from parking. Unfortunately, the rims are past their prime. I have replaced hub-caps with the ones with Toyota Logo on them, as I was unable to find ones with the Lexus Logo. All lights work. There are no cracks, fading or leaks on any of the lights around the car. It comes with the factory tow package and receiver (in it's box, stowed in the passenger side rear compartment), and with the complete original tool kit and jack. Interior: The interior is also in great condition, except for the leather on the bottom side of the driver's seat. The foremost section has cracked and has a hole where the foam pad has become visible. The rest of the seat, as well as the passenger seat are in acceptable condition, with some cracks but no holes or tears. The rear seats are in great condition all around, no cracks or stains on any on them. The rest of the interior is in near perfect shape, door panels are clean and have no scratches or details on them. The only blemish that can be found are some white stains on the carpet on the passenger side wheel well cover, and on the rear floor mat. The other floor mats are in good condition and are all around the factory issue carpet mats. Dashboard is clean and the headliner has no stains or marks on it. The stereo and 6X Magazine CD player work and sound adequately, as does the retractable antenna. The AC blows very cold, clodest than any other car we have ever had. I have the original key and alarm remote which works perfectly, as well as a spare second key. I also have with the factory binder with the owners manual and other books.
