This E46 BMW convertible BMW looks, drives and handles great. It offers 5-speed manual transmission and BMW’s sports tuned suspension. It is a lot of fun to drive, especially with the top down. This is also very economical getting an EPA rated 19-27 MPG (I regularly get 28 to 30 miles per gallon in 50% city and 50% highway driving.). Mechanical Condition: The vehicle has been well maintained inside and out and regularly serviced (service record history below and photos). The vehicle has a clear title. All power equipment and gauges operate properly. There are no fluid or oil leaks of any kind. The powered convertible top works perfectly to conveniently open and close. The top has a glass rear window for clear visibility when the top is up, so there are no issues with visibility, fogging or aging found with vinyl rear windows. (see recent services below) Exterior Condition: The exterior is in great condition. The body is completely straight, the paint shines beautifully and the convertible top looks great. All glass is in perfect condition (no marks). There are very minor nicks on the front hood from highway driving. There are two minor issues highlighted in the photos: (1) Scratches on underside of the front-end bumper from parking/speed bumps. No frame damage. (2) A smaller ½ inch circular indentation on the rear bumper. (Note: A 2009 "fender bender" was immediately fixed to factory standards. I reported the accident, as it was a "hit & run". Only $1050 damage was done; the rear bumper was replaced.) Interior Condition:The interior is in great condition. All gauges, switches and electrical equipment work perfectly, including the navigation system and radio/CD. The dash, seats, carpets and headliner all look great (no tears, no cracks, no odors, no stains). A non-smoker owns this vehicle. There is some wear seen in left side of the driver’s seat and minor wear in the center console. The steering wheel has a scratch on the lower portion, but does not affect performance or safety in any way. I purchased it in July 2008 from the BMW of Bellevue dealership in Washington state. It was a certified pre-owned vehicle at the time with roughly 36K miles on it when I purchased it. Why are you selling the vehicle now? With a growing family (soon to add another new member), we no longer have a need for this smaller sized 2-door convertible. Considering I will not being driving it all that much, I have decided to sell it (somewhat with a heavy heart). Do you smoke? No, I do not smoke, nor has the car been smoked in while I have owned it. I don't see signs of having been smoked in with the previous owners either. Does the car come with a warranty? No, the vehicle is being sold as is. There is no warranty, expressed written or implied. The certified pre-owned warranty was through the first 50,000 original miles and no longer applies. Can I have the vehicle inspected? All inspections will need to be done prior to the end of the auction and not after. Please do not bid if you are not a serious buyer. Can you assist with shipping? Thank you again for your interest.On Aug-01-13 at 13:45:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Can you provide further details about the accident report noted in 2009, the damage sustained and the repairs? In March 2009, while at a stop light, I was rear-ended in very low speed collision. The driver did not stop in time and slid into my car in his attempt to come to a complete stop. The rear bumper took on a small, but marginally visible seam or crack just near the top of the bumper from the impact. The crack was no more than 4 inches in length and did not impact any other body parts, nor the frame. As the other driver left the scene without providing full information and ended up being an uninsured motorist, I reported the incident to my insurance company and to the Washington State authorities. Regarding the repairs, the car was taken to auto body shop (Roosevelt Auto Body in Seattle) recommended by my insurance company. It was deemed that they would simply replace the bumper cover. The cost of the new OEM bumper cover with parking sensors was $569.60 with the total bill including parts & labor coming to $1046.97.
