It runs and drives, but should be trailered away, as it has not beenon the road since 2009, and has not been safety inspected.Total miles= 100000 (odo roll over, 5 digit odo) + 51164 showing on the odo. It has a clear CA Title in my families name. The new owner space is blank. So here is the story on the truck...Original owner on the truck wanted to buy a new truck in 1984. He went to Fresno Dodge to order a new 4 door Power Ram truck. He checked off about all of the options, which this truck retains, but when it arrived, it did not have factory a/c, but rather the large 100 amp charging system...the next check box on the order form. This made owner #1 not want to buy the truck. A couple of months past and he did end up with the truck with Chrysler dealer installed a/c. Not many of these trucks were built for the civilian market, as most that have turned up have been either governmant, state or county road trucks. Owner #1 told me that the engine and transmission were rebuilt by Tulare Dodge in about 2005 for a cost of about 6,000 at the dealership, and that the truck has seen about 7,000 miles or so since(i did not get any receipts). The trucks runs well, no leaks or smoke, and seems consistent with a low mileage engine. The a/c does need a charge, but was working when the truck was no longer needed in 2009. It also has a set of deep tread, BFG All-Terrain tires which he said had 2,000 miles on, but have been sitting for 5 years. This was a 3rd or 4th vehicle for owner #1, and is currently on non-op with the state of California, so no fees are accumulating on it with title in my families name. The truck is very solid. There is no cancer on this truck, but does need paint. there is a spot on the bed where it has been repaired before, and paint has faded differently from other areas, and has clear coat peeling as well. The floors are about as nice as they come, and the roof is solid. There is no visible rust on the underside of this truck, and is consistent with Dry Central CA vehicles. As the pictures show, this truck deserves a restoration, the interioris torn and tattered because of exposure to the climate, not from harsh wear.
