Vehicle Detail

I bought this bike from the original owner in 1979 when I was 17. I'm sad to part with it after so many years but since I hardly ride it, I decided it was time to let someone else enjoy it. You'll get lots of waves cruising around the on this classic motorcycle. This pristine bike is ready for showing or riding with pride. If you're looking for a unique Honda, this is it. The CB450 came out in 1965 after the success of the 305 Scrambler. The Black Bomber was the best motorcycle Honda made at the time and was seen as an engineering marvel. It was their showcase bike until they came out with the CB750 in 1969.This is one of the best looking bikes made. The hump back tank with chrome sides and Honda medallion is beautiful. The long cigar shaped pipes look cool and give the bike a throaty, big sound. The speedo and tach have a simple, retro look. This is the less common "KO version" which came on the very first CB450s. It has 4 gears and shifts smoothly through each one. The bike has both a kick start or electric starter. I rebuilt the bike about 25 years ago. Had the frame, tank and rear fender professionally painted with same color as original. A couple years ago I had the tank coated inside to prevent rust. Also put on a high quality chain. The tires were new last year. I also rebuilt the carbs and changed points. This bike starts on the first kick. It runs strong and smooth. You'll see from the pics that the bike is super clean. Chrome is in great shape. The tank chrome is mint and the pipes are in very good condition. The spokes need some polishing. The seat is original but is has a small tear. The tach needs to be rebuilt but you can get that done for about $75. I've seen bikes in similar condition sell for well over $10k. I put a very reasonable starting bid so jump in now and don't let this one get away. I can send video of it running or more pics it you want. If you do win, you have to promise to treat her right. :-) Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! The actual from the title is: CB4501029286 This matches the number on the frame. The number on the motor is: CB450E-1026270
