Thank you for viewing my 1968 Mustang Convertible. Restored back in 1978, this beautiful 1968 Classic Mustang Convertible is screaming FUN!!! Original color was Gulfstream Blue, we changed it to official 1968 Candy Apple Red when we restored it in 1978. How you see it today in these pictures, is how I drove it my senior year in high school in 1980. Back in the middle 1980's, the 5.0L 302 V8 4bbl engine failed, and Dad never thought to rebuild it, but replaced it with the 4.7L 289 V8 2bbl engine in it now. I acquired it from my sister in 2003, and drove it from New York to New Jersey. I later installed the dress-up kit back in 2005, and did keep the parts (they come with the car). I installed the MUSTANG letters on the trunk, and the Ornaments on the rear quarter panels. One Rocker Panel is screwed on, the other is on correctly. I have another NEW Rocker Panel to be installed and will go with the car when sold. I also have a Chrome Oil Pan that will come with the care as well - never installed - still new. It's been garage kept, and under an official California Car Cover since 1983. I do drive it on occasion to Car Shows and Cruises to build a network of classic car friends. There are a few minor scratches on the outside. Under the hood, the paint is damaged due to an exploded battery back in the middle 1990's. The top has a tear in the right rear quarter. The rear window (folding glass), sealant is missing. It does need a tune up. This car is a real gem, and has so much potential.
