1957 BMW R-Series

Here is a 1957 BMW R 26 250cc motorcycle. I don't know where to begin, this bike is amazing. It originally came from Pretoria, South Africa, but did not stay there long. A fellow from the film industry brought it back at an early age and it spent the rest of its life on the set of various films. The last movie it was in it had a white swastika on the front and rear fender, you can see it in the photo of the rear close up. The previous owner had them painted over. There is only 2068 original miles! I believe this because of how tight the engine and gear box seem, also it never left the set and it was not registered until 2012. This is a matching frame and engine bike, with the title in my name. It starts easily and is very fun to ride. Everything on this motorcycle works as is should. There is a box full of original parts, receipts of work done, certificate of authenticity and a repair manual. This is a wonderful example and rare specimen of BMW history. You take care of shipping.
