BMW R69S #659628 Manufactured 27.01.1965, Date of Delivery 03.02.1965 to Butler & Smith INC. New York, N.Y. Certificate from BMW Classic included.All numbers match engine, frame & id. plate. Amazing motorcycle period. Previously owned by a couple of Boston area collectors whom kept good care of this bike I found it in a shop for transmission repairs. Transmission was rebuilt (1999) by Boston area restorer, when I bought the bike, transmission marked with (S).I have owned this bike for 14 years, recently engine was rebuilt by Max BMW (2-12) in New Hampshire, At time of rebuild crank was sent out for inspection determined to be within specs, engine rebuilt with new Main, Cam bearings & wrist pin bearings replaced. Transmission input shaft seal & clutch push rod seal replaced. Rear end seal replaced with new brake shoes. Rear end marked (25/8) Top end inspected at rebuild determined to be in good condition Rings replaced at time of rebuild. Akront 18" - 2.1 - 40 S-591 E Dot wheels rebuilt with SS spokes & axles 1991 front, rear fender & headlight supports repainted Holt Design (1992) (these may of been replaced excellent condition) (one size over pistons & valves were replaced in (1986). Full crash bars on bottom & clamps shows some wear, the bars appear to be original BMW. Buco luggage with working lights on rear, attached with original fasteners inside mount is a bolt to be sure bags stay put, working hella end bar turn signals with red lenses on the rear. Steering head bearing replaced with newer style bearing. mirrors are Albert mirrors. Mileage listed as 442,36, when purchased mileage was 43,000. Since I have owned bike Electronic regulator(07) & improved coil(00) installed prior to rebuild (old parts included). Bing carbs rebuilt by Bing (04). Foot pegs are powder coated with new rubbers (03) 1000 miles ridden including 600 mile run in. 600 mile run in check (12-12) done after motor rebuild, 22 miles since 600 mile check where oils were changed & advance unit was replaced. Fasteners replaced with stainless also included since ownership. Tank repainted refitting tool door with all new fittings, inside of tank is original, fuel tap is everbest that needs fuel to stay working. Seat is a Pagusa this was supplier on earlier bikes.
