Vehicle Detail
Hello eBayers, Up for sale is my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi in great condition, with less than 84k on it. I purchased the car about a month ago from Porsche of Arlington for over $20k, and two weeks after the car overheated on a drive to New York. The car will crank but it wont turn over. The compression readings are 80, 35, 75, 30. I'm putting the car on eBay to see if I will sell the car for an amount I'd accept, or else I've already gotten started with a reputable motorsport company who would rebuild the engine for me. This is the perfect car for someone who's been wanting to build a 500+ hp monster, with a blown engine and a great place to start a build. The rest of the car is in fantastic shape; Brembo brakes, 6-speed transmission, original unpainted gold BBS rims, it is the essence of a dream WRB STi. Currently, I have the car set up to have engine pulled as of Wednesday, so all decisions or commitments will need to be made by then. Body: -Stock -Original BBS Gold rims -Has some small nicks around the car, nothing big (there are a couple stone chips on the driver door that I took a picture of), also some rash on the bottom of the front bumper Engine: -Upgraded intake -Front Mount Intercooler -Turbo XS BOV -3" Catback Exhaust -ROM Raider Tune Interior: -Stock seats (I don't want to say mint, but it's as clean as a whistle) -Jensen touch screen MP4 with iPod connectivity, USB, AUX, bluetooth, GPS, etc. -Boost gauge -Ex. Temperature gauge (not connected) -Trunk Pre-Wired for Subwoofers All and all the car is in great shape, and I'm kind of hoping the car doesn't sell so that I'm forced to build my dream car- but it's just not a practical situation for me right now. However, it doesn't mean I'll part with the car for an indecent sum of money. I would be willing to discuss putting in a rebuilt long block for you for about $4,000. There may be some information I missed, but I feel like I covered just about everything. By no means does the car have any other problems other than a non running engine. The drivetrain is impeccable, never grinded gears on me. The brakes are amazing, and this is just a great car. Mind you, "good" condition book value is $22,743. That is considering it to be under excellent, and very good, but one higher than fair. Of course that's with a running engine. Please let me know if you have any questions before you bid, I'd like you to bid with confidence. Thank you. On Jul-22-13 at 18:16:26 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Hello bidders, just wanted to thank you all for the continued interest in the car. Just a few updates I'd like to point out as the auction begins to come to an end. The car is still at the Motorsport company, and I still have the work scheduled for Wednesday. I should have mentioned: if you have zero feedback rating, please contact me prior to bidding. I really have no time on hand to deal with unpaid buyers as I'm paying per day for the car to sit on their lot. Also in terms of the new engine- I found a very well rebuilt STi EJ25 motor with less than 4k on it, and I can get it for $2,500. If you are a serious buyer and you'd like to arrange the engine, please contact me asap so we can talk to the seller and get something arranged. Again, please let me know if you have any questions at all about the car. I'd value the car myself at $16,000, but my hopes aren't in the clouds. I do expect the deposit to be made the same night of purchase, or at latest the morning of the 24th (Wednesday), so that I have something to show for and not proceed with the work on the vehicle. At latest, the car would need to be picked up by Friday night (5:00 is when they close). Alternative arrangements MAY be made if you contact me with your deposit after the sale. I'm a reasonable guy, I understand people have other things to attend to. If you're professional, I'll return the courtesy. Somebody asked me if the current engine will stay in the car, and the answer is yes. The turbo, all the modifications, everything on the engine is untouched. I'd personally just pull out the long block and sell it as a blown motor for $2,000 on ebay and use that towards the build- or just rebuild it yourself if that was your intention, and you're good with engines. Any other questions, just shoot away. Thanks all!
