One of the things it does is to turn the car off and restart it when it stops, such as at street signals. I asked BMW to re-program it so when I turn the switch to off (around the start key), it remembers it – and it’s off and stays off. So you can use it, not use it – it’s your call, but when it’s off it stays off. Most BMW owners on all cars complained and that’s why they made the change. Front License Plate Frame – I never ruin/screw into the bumpers on any of my cars to mount a Front license plate, but in many states it’s the DMV law that requires two plates/tags – Front and Back. In the front, I have a side mounted frame that attaches the plate thru the tow hook – so its included as I do not have the cheap BMW plastic mount that ruins the bumper
