Here is my 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo. This was my daily driver so I unselfishly invested thousands into her. My GM at the restaurant I owned backed his Ford Ranger truck into the nose, and almost made me cry. I had just finished what I called a "complete restoration". So with no time to start again...therefore my Porsche's' days were over. I simply do not have the time or effort to do this restoration again. I now own a new Mercedes SL, so my loss is your gain! It was overhauled 24 months ago at a cost of over $11,800 plus in parts and labor alone. I have tons of work history that goes with the car. I even have the mechanics number if you wanna talk to him. In 2011 & 2012 I had the following done to the vehicle: A brand new AC Condenser, Evaporator, Expansion valve and new synthetic coolant was installed at a cost of over $2400.00 - 2011 Reconditioned Porsche AC control unit - 2011 Autothority MAF w/chips purchased and installed for more power! - 2011 Porsche M474 Koni Suspension w/ M030 Roll bars installed. Car drives like it's on rails! New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and slave cylinder - 2100 miles ago The entire car was Professionally repainted at a cost of $4100.00 - 2012 A brand new windshield was installed and is COMPLETELY BLEMISH FREE - 2012 Brakes rebuilt and professionally painted - 2012 Installed Cross Drilled rotors with Ceramic pads ALL AROUND less than 1200 miles ago - 2012 New rear Stone guards Full factory ground effects Luggage cover is PERFECT and works 100% no broken ends or spring Porsche 944 Turbo S Design 90 OEM factory wheels New plugs and plug wires, complete tune up w/ fuel & air filter, synthetic Quaker State oil and filter, distributor, points NEW CUSTOM COMPLETE 3" Exhaust system including a Turbo S Waste-gate back. Including BRAND NEW MAGNAFLOW Muffler and High flow Performance CAT and custom Tip ( sounds deep and great ) BRAND NEW TPS - 106 miles ago New window regulator drivers side window Porsche 944 Turbo S 10 speaker door panels ( speakers sound great ) Porsche 8 way twin power front seats in Leather. Passenger seat has a hole from age/wear that can be repaired. Rear lights replaced with no age or cracks, and are clear Sunroof works completely, but needs a right front replacement corner hinge on the wind deflector...ebay $25.00. raises and lowers no probs Used Power Steering rack installed w/ new boots & belt - 2011 Etc...I am sure their are other things I replaced, but I am pressed for time. Drivers side foglight is included ( wasn't on for pics because I was cleaning the car ) ALL windows, seats, sunroof and AC work! The car drives and looks great ( even with the nose/headlight damage)! Only the passenger side headlight works. I removed the fuse so the headlight doesn't work now. The nose header panel repair and headlight/headlight bucket can be done for less than a few hundred dollars, ( included are links to the parts available here on Ebay) and you will have a great looking and running late model 951 that drives and looks great! 20 mpg city and 27 highway mpg as well. The car is 26 years old and is not 100% perfect, but it has the look of a newer car with a retro Porsche quality! The dash was reconditioned two years ago and has cracks. It could be replaced for a perfect interior, although It is fine otherwise. Carpets are in great shape, always used factory floor mats. Door panels are excellent! Rear wiper doesn't work. I just drove the car to Las Vegas two weeks ago and I didn't have ONE SINGLE ISSUE with the car in 116 degree heat! Never overheated or hiccuped once. Car drove from Denver there and back getting 27/28 mpg PERFECTLY! :) See attached pics from trip. Look at the AutoCheck score of 80...well above the average! I included two pics of the car in the shop when it was being painted. It was stripped to bare metal in most spots, and primed and sanded as well. AutoCheck show a mileage of 156,225, but I didn't drive the car 20,000 miles in two years! lol My odometer gear broke and the cluster showed over the approx mileage. I just estimated what it should be. This vehicle already has most of the things that one would want to do to customize a Turbo done to it. I am telling you...She's a great car. Also had the Factory Exhaust manifold/ headers and Intake manifold gaskets replaced as well.
