THIS VEHICLE IS NOT LOCATED AT OUR FACILITY IN FRANKFORT, KENTUCKY. IT IS LOCATED IN LaGRANGE, KENTUCKY AT THE KENTUCKY STATE REFORMATORY. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on one previously owned 1986 Chevrolet Bucket Truck. This was owned and turned in to us by another State Agency and is now considered Kentucky State Government Surplus Property. We have been asked to sell it for them on EBAY. VIN: 1GBG6D1A4GV102916 GENERAL: This Bucket truck has been owned since it was new by the same agency. It has the 5.7 Liter (350 c.i.) V8 Gasoline engine in it. The transmission is a 5-speed manual transmission with a 2-speed rear axle. It starts easily and runs good. It is showing 112, 575 miles on it. The tires are worn except for the two on the passenger side rear. The bed is utility style bed and all of the doors and locks are in working order except for one door on the passenger side near the rear. Apparently there is a hydraulic fluid leak and hydraulic fluid runs out at the base of the lift while the engine is running. This truck has a braking system on it. We are uncertain of the type or if the brakes work or not. The truck part of this unit is supposed to operational. It starts (It needs a new battery). It was started three or four months ago. They tell us that as far as they know, it still is drivable and runs ok. The problem is in the hydraulic system. Plus the outriggers or stabilizers are currently in their ‘down’ position and will not retract. If you could get them to retract, you might be able to drive this vehicle away under its own power. Not 100% certain on this but it was drivable before the hydraulics messed up. The horn button is missing and the driver’s seat is showing wear and has some vinyl gone from the seat and the seat back. Also the passenger side has some wear too. The floor mat appears to be worn. Some of the lights and/or lenses on the rear of the truck may be missing and or broken and probably not operational right now. There may be other issues that we are unaware of. There may be something broken that we could not know since we haven’t driven or operated this vehicle. We are listing this truck as ”FOR PARTS ONLY””. The main warehouse in Frankfort is open M-F 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Eastern Time. You must retrieve your item (s) within 5 business days (vehicles 10 business days) from close of auction; you must have in hand PayPal Receipt or Invoice to retrieve your property item (s). Vehicles require presentation of Drivers License if vehicle is driven offsite. NO weekend pick ups. b) Remote sale items require PAID in FULL receipt or PayPal Receipt as pick up ticket; no payments accepted at remote pickup locations; items must be prepaid.
