Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a series 1 early 1971 Datsun 240Z. VIN# HLS3011240, with a build date of 10/70. The odometer reads 22129 but I'm sure it has turned over. I bought this car with the intention of parting it out but after looking it over more closely I decided the cars in way to good of shape to do that. It would be better served if someone restored it. This is pretty much a complete car as far as drive train, suspension and sheet metal. The interior is about 75% to 85% complete. The only rust issues I could find that I would consider a problem is in both rear quarter panels. A set of new inner and outer quarter panels come with the car (see picture #11). The frame rails are in good shape along with the battery tray and floor pans (There is one small area of rust on the passenger side – circled in picture #8). It looks like this car has never been in an accident. You will get everything pictured with the car. Most of the interior trim that is there is in pretty good shape with no major rips or tears except for the seats. The bumpers are in great shape with the rear having no dents whatsoever and the front with only minor dings. You also get the 4 dealer installed mag wheels (one off the car due to flat tire). The spare tire/rim is stamped 9/70 and is the correct rim for the car. The car does not run, but I was told it had been running a couple of years back so it has not been sitting long. If you are looking for a series 1 Z project, this is one of the best candidates for restoring that you will find. It has a clear title.UPDATE: Had it listed as a 1970 when it is actually a early 1971 with a build date of 10/70. Sorry for any confusion. Shipping options: You will have 2 options on delivery of the car once paid for. The first is for you to setup transport to have it delivered to your location. The second option is for you to pick it up yourself and the third option is I can trailer the car to your location (up to 500 miles from Albuquerque, NM, for example Denver, Phoenix, Oklahoma City for an extra $500.00 (to be paid in advance of delivery). That’s a buck a mile, if you can find a better deal, fantastic. I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately as possible. Because the car is 43 years old it does not come with a warranty and is being sold as is. There is no reserve on this auction. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to get you the correct answers. I will need a $300 non-refundable deposit (to know that you are serious) within 48 hours of auction end and balance in a cashiers check within seven days of auction end or cash if car is picked up.
