1953 PONTIAC CHIEFTAIN COUPENeeds some help. Could be restored, or parted out. Someone has welded a different front end, and rear end under it. The front end now has disc brake because of this. This does not have the 4.4L Inline 8 cylinder engine in it. The engine is a Oldsmobile 455 (396021F). It has G 409100 heads. I used a wrench to try to turn the motor, and it didn't move. So I am going to say it is locked up. It has an Oldsmobile transmission (tag 72-OR-??????) that I believe is a 400 trans. I am not positive about this though. If someone would like to tell me how to definitely figured this out, I will post it on here. There is a new windshield that comes with this. Some of the pictures show a box through the windshield opening (it was the new windshield in the box). I took a picture of the windshield sitting in place just to give you an idea. I was told the front bucket seats are from a 1964 GTO. The chrome hood, and trunk pieces are not fastened to the car. Overall I think the car would make a good project for someone.
