Up for auction (again) is a beautiful looking, running, and driving Jaguar XK8 Coupe. Please, if you do not have 10+ feedback, you must contact me before placing a bid. I rescued this beautiful Jaguar from the back of an Auto Pawn Shop recently for the sole purpose of performing a LS1 Corvette Engine conversion using the amazing LS1/4L60E conversion kit from Jaguar Specialties. After spending an extensive amount of time with the car over the past weeks driving and researching this XK8, I realized this Coupe runs and drives way too good to make a bastardized Jaguar/Chevy for my nefarious track day purposes. This car runs and drives so well for a 16 year old Jaguar, I just don’t have the heart to rip out the Jaguar 4.0L engine and transmission. As fate would have it, a gentleman contacted me last week with a Silver/Black 1998 Coupe with a damaged transmission that I purchased that is now being converted to a LS1. The Good: Low Miles. 82,039 miles as of today. It is anticipated that the miles will only increase by a maximum of 15 miles over the next few days. The Colorado title says the mileage is exempt due to the car being over 10 years old. Ice Blue Metallic Exterior (Jaguar Paint Code MDP) with Cream Interior (Jaguar Trim Code NDR). New Oil, Oil Filter, Battery, Fuel Filter. Aftermarket 17” Wheels/Rims with full-size matching spare. Goodyear LS2 Tires with approximately 70% tread remaining. New Brakes on all 4 corners Owners Manual. Clean and Clear Title in hand. No accident history. Brand new Colorado Emissions Full Car Fax available. The Bad: Clear Coat on the left front fender was peeling due to the terrible storage capabilities of the temporary previous owners. The car was stored for 4 months outdoors in an open, but covered car-port. The left front fender was sticking out just enough to let the fierce Colorado winter snow, ice, and sun beat down upon the fender. The fender was stripped, primed, and sprayed to match the Ice Blue Metallic of the rest of the car. It looks ok (about a 6/10), but I had anticipated on having the fender painted again this winter. The telescoping steering wheel is presenting the classic Jaguar “Cash Register” sound. My mechanic believes that the Steering column reach cable has failed. A replacement can be found online at Coventry West for $44.95. The part number is JLM12187CABLE. The drivers seat is showing more wear than I would feel is acceptable for this quality of a car. Replacement leather covers or aftermarket seat covers will be needed. It looks as if the previous owners were going to do “something” to the seats, as the plastic trim that cover the exterior seat hinges is missing. There is a small burn hole on the rear left seat. There is a small burn hole on the front drivers carpet. This is covered by XK8 floor mats, so is unseen. There are various small scrapes, scratches, and dings around and inside this 16 year old Jag. The majority of the blemishes can't really be seen unless you are specifically looking for them. Please refer to the pictures posted, as just about every square inch of the exterior and interior of the car has been photographed in great detail. The 8” Harmon Kardon sub-woofer that is typically mounted in the rear trunk is missing. I only have one key and one key fob.The cup holder is broken. Important Information About This Auction: This is a NO RESERVE auction. The high bidder will own this car. I do NOT have this car listed locally. I will NOT cancel the auction at the last minute claiming that the car was sold elsewhere (I hate when sellers do that!). Once again, the high bidder will own this car.
