This 1964 1/4 Convertible (all 1964 Mustangs were titled as 1965’s) is a driver grade restoration. The car was completely restored, but the guy was not a good painter. He did all of the frame/floor repairs, did 100% of the mechanicals, and re-did the interior. This car would appeal to someone who would like to drive it as is, or take it to the next level with better fender fitment and new paint. Mechanically, this car performs fine. The engine pulls strongly, does not smoke, and the car shifts smoothly. The drum brake system works great. I re-did all of the fluids and brakes, so the car is roadworthy. Will sell to Europe and Canada, and help you arrange shipping. My European customers are always asking for a less expensive Mustang that they can import and paint over there, this is that car. Body: -The metal work is solid with no rust anywhere. -VIN clearly stamped in the inner fender, and original door tag. -Very solid car with solid floors, and frame rails. All of this was repaired or replaced during the restoration. -The panel fit of the front fenders is poor, but could easily be realigned by an experienced body guy. -The paint is about as poorly done as you can, looks worse than in the pictures, Please don’t buy this car and complain about the paint. It needs to be redone. -All glass in excellent condition. -Trim is all present and of very good quality. -I have not installed the FORD letters on the hood, or the Pony emblems (they are in the trunk), 260V8 emblems come off with a speed nut. -Bumpers newer. -Trunk is in very good condition, no spare tire. -New gas tank. Mechanical: -Car drives fine, goes down the road straight and smooth, has a squeak in the right front that need to be traced down. -The rebuilt 289ci engine runs smooth, has a new Carb, and needs a right side exhaust manifold donut. -It starts quickly, idles smoothly, and pulls right up to redline. -The engine compartment is clean. -Complete new wiring harnesses front and rear. -The 3 speed Automatic transmission shifts smoothly. -Power steering makes driving easy, again new components. -Complete new suspension front and rear, everything component replaced. -New brake lines and gas lines, whole car. -Complete new brake system works great, firm pedal, straight stops. -New Dual Exhaust with GT outlets. -New radial tires. Original wheels, and wheel covers with Ford spinners. -Needs correct outside rear view mirror. Interior: -Power Convertible top is new goes up and down quickly. -Interior was replaced. -New Carpets -New vinyl seat covers, and sun visors. -New door panels and handles. -Needs arm rests installed (in trunk). -Needs: door felts (in trunk), rubber door seals, and A-pillar seals. -Needs a radio and rear speakers, Antenna and wiring harness into the trunk are installed. “Enthusiast” Restoration, Needs Re-Paint

Mechanicals, Floors, and Interior are New

This 1964 1/4 Convertible (all 1964 Mustangs were titled as 1965’s) is a driver grade restoration. The car was completely restored, but the guy was not a good painter. He did all of the frame/floor repairs, did 100% of the mechanicals, and re-did the interior. This car would appeal to someone who would like to drive it as is, or take it to the next level with better fender fitment and new paint.

Mechanically, this car performs fine. The engine pulls strongly, does not smoke, and the car shifts smoothly. The drum brake system works great. I re-did all of the fluids and brakes, so the car is roadworthy.

Will sell to Europe and Canada, and help you arrange shipping. My European customers are always asking for a less expensive Mustang that they can import and paint over there, this is that car.

Body:

-The metal work is solid with no rust anywhere.

-VIN clearly stamped in the inner fender, and original door tag.

-Very solid car with solid floors, and frame rails. All of this was repaired or replaced during the restoration.

-The panel fit of the front fenders is poor, but could easily be realigned by an experienced body guy.

-The paint is about as poorly done as you can, looks worse than in the pictures, Please don’t buy this car and complain about the paint. It needs to be redone.

-All glass in excellent condition.

-Trim is all present and of very good quality.

-I have not installed the FORD letters on the hood, or the Pony emblems (they are in the trunk), 260V8 emblems come off with a speed nut.

-Bumpers newer.

-Trunk is in very good condition, no spare tire.

-New gas tank.

Mechanical:

-Car drives fine, goes down the road straight and smooth, has a squeak in the right front that need to be traced down.

-The rebuilt 289ci engine runs smooth, has a new Carb, and needs a right side exhaust manifold donut.

-It starts quickly, idles smoothly, and pulls right up to redline. -The engine compartment is clean.

-Complete new wiring harnesses front and rear.

-The 3 speed Automatic transmission shifts smoothly.

-Power steering makes driving easy, again new components.

-Complete new suspension front and rear, everything component replaced.

-New brake lines and gas lines, whole car.

-Complete new brake system works great, firm pedal, straight stops.

-New Dual Exhaust with GT outlets.

-New radial tires. Original wheels, and wheel covers with Ford spinners.

-Needs correct outside rear view mirror.

Interior:

-Power Convertible top is new goes up and down quickly.

-Interior was replaced.

-New Carpets

-New vinyl seat covers, and sun visors.

-New door panels and handles.

-Needs arm rests installed (in trunk).

-Needs: door felts (in trunk), rubber door seals, and A-pillar seals.

-Needs a radio and rear speakers, Antenna and wiring harness into the trunk are installed.
