VERY RARE & LOADED CALIFORNIA SURVIVOR CAR! A 1970 CHERRY BLACK SUPER SPORT CHEVELLE WITH ITS ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET! BACKED BY ITS NUMBERS MATCHING 396 BIG BLOCK! 64K MILES! AIR CONDITIONING, POWER STEERING, POWER DISC BRAKES, 12 BOLT POSI REAR END, & MUCH MUCH MORE! AN ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA CAR WHICH STILL RETAINS ITS CALIFORNIA SMOG EQUIPMENT! SOLID & READY TO BUILD! If you've been looking for the perfect car to build, you have found it. This is by far one of the most desirable and rarest cars you will find. Many great cars pass through eBay but not very often do you find cars of this caliber. So here is that rare opportunity to own one of the most sought after muscle cars ever made but at a realistic price. Please note that I do have this car for sale locally and I will end the auction early should it sell prior to the auction ending. So if interested, please do not hesitate to call Shawn at 816-308-0351. This Chevelle was purchased by a collector out of California many years ago. It was brought back here to the Midwest where it was stored away in a climate controlled warehouse. Since leaving California, it has never seen rain or snow. The intentions were to restore it back to its former glory but unfortunately, too many projects, too little time. So here she is! A true SS big block Chevelle that has never been molested. It is a true survivor car with many interesting and rare options. Body: The body on this Chevelle is considerably solid. It is not suffering from your typical rust issues. The floors both front and back are solid as are the frame rails, the rockers, the hood, rear sill, roof, A-pilars, the majority of the car is solid and is not suffering from rust. There are however a few spots that will require attention. The quarters, trunk lid, a small area on the passenger side door, and both fenders are useable but they too will need some work. The trunk within the Chevelle is original and it only has minor holes in a few areas. I would definitely say that it could be saved. All of the trim/stainless comes with the car and most all of it is in good shape. I do have all of the original SS wheels which go with the car. The Chevelle does retain its original and matching 12 bolt posi rear end as well as all of its factory suspension. The Chevelle also retains all of its original glass. All of which is in good shape with the exception of the windshield. That will need replaced. I am missing one of the head lights for the Chevelle. I do have all four head light bezels. The body tag located on the cowl tag also matches that of the build sheet. Engine & Mechanical: The Chevelle does retain its original numbers matching 396 and I have included a photo of the numbers on the pad (located on the front of the block). From what I know, the motor was not locked up when it was brought back from California but I also know that it hasn't ran in over a decade. The transmission is also original to the car. Now the AC was removed from the car some years ago but I am including the compressor & I believe the original alternator with the car. The Chevelle does retain all of its original wiring, brake lines, fuel lines, disc brake & power steering setup. The air breather for the car is not correct but is included with it. Interior: One of the items that really tells the story behind this Chevelle, is the interior. There are so many aspects of the interior that show just how tucked away and how solid this car truly is. The dash pad within the Chevelle is the original and it is in excellent shape. No fades, cracks, or major blemishes. The instrument panel is also in excellent shape. After evaluating it, all of the needles are in good shape as is everything within the panel. No fading, cracks, or nasty debris blocking up things. The stereo is original to the Chevelle and appears to be in excellent cosmetic condition as well. The center console has never been removed from the car and the plastics are in excellent shape. However the shifting pattern is faded and will need replaced. All of the seat belts are in the car and appear to be in good shape. However, they will need cleaned up. Both of the front seats are in tact and will need recovered. I do have the complete back seat but unfortunately, I did not have the bottom section when I was taking photos. It does come with the car. One of the only things that I am lacking however are both door panels. This Chevelle is by far one of the rarest cars you will find. Forget the fact that it is an all matching big block car with its build sheet but when have you ever seen a Cherry Black SS Chevelle? Just the fact that it doesn't require all of the typical sheet metal replacement, that is a huge positive. I know from my own experience that all of these cars typically need all of the same sheet metal replacement and that cost usually runs 10k and up. However with ours, I can say with certainty that whoever restores this Chevelle, they are going to save a tremendous amount of time and money just because it is as solid as it is. So don't miss out on this rare opportunity to own a great toy that will only continue to rise in value. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Chevelle early as we do have it for sale "locally". My goal here is to sell the Chevelle. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call or email to schedule a time to come check it out. I would also like to add that I am usually on the phone from 7 AM until about 12 AM so you are always welcome to call and if I do not answer, just leave a message and I will return your call immediately. I know from my own experience with purchasing cars online, most of the time it is very difficult to get someone on the phone and to obtain the information you need. So I try to always stay on top of emails and phone calls. We do have a clear title for this Chevelle. As always, good luck and happy bidding! Thanks, Shawn (816) 308-0351 Looking for some other rare and exotic Chevelles? I have several others, two of which are on eBay right now. Please feel free to check them out by clicking here.
