ESTATE FIND ESTATE FINDUp for sale, this 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120R, looks to be a complete and a total restoration. MATCHING NUMBERS !!!! Unfortunately I do not know a lot about this bike, I bought this bike and four others in a lot as part of an estate sale. This appears to be a ground up restoration to original. I would guess the total restoration was done within the last few years. I was told by someone familiar with the bike that the transmission and motor were just rebuilt !! Beautiful restoration !! It appears as if no expense was spared. Paint looks to have been painted and hand pinstriped to match original. Stainless fenders are in like new condition. Bike starts, runs, and drives with no issues. Bike has been sitting so I drained all fuel and replaced with new fuel.Issues I see with the cycle: Tank has 3 very very small bubbles in paint on the tank (picture 3 & 6). Light rust pitting on rims (picture 2 & 7) and scrapes with light rust on back of chain guard (picture 4). Unknown if mileage is original. Carbs could be tweaked once the bike has some time put on it.Reserve price is well below true value of the bike, bike should sell !! Nada book value is 10,300 in very good condition and 6,300 in good condition. I would rate the bike in between very good and good...leaning towards the very good end. You would be very hard pressed to find a better example of a 1969. I own this bike, there are no liens or debts. Bike comes with bill of sale only and proof of last registered owner. Rhode Island is a non title state on older vehicles, so bike comes with bill of sale only. Please ask any questions prior to bidding as bids are bidding. Bike is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early at any time. Local pick up welcomed. Sold as is with no warranty and no returns. Non- refundable $500 deposit due within 72 hours. Remainder due within 10 days. Bike can be inspected in person. Owner responsible for all delivery/shipping fees. I will build and crate the cycle for an additional $300. if needed. I will drive crated bike to a reasonable (my decision on what's reasonable) shipping pick up point. On Jun-14-13 at 14:12:51 PDT, seller added the following information: THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE YEAR OF THE BIKE AND THE VIN#.......HERE IS WHAT I KNOW.............The vin is a "GD".....rare vin....it doesn't appear to exist. From my research it appears it was made the last few weeks before they switched to "HD" in July 1970. The bike was made in June of 70 as a 1969......before they switched production to 1970 bikes in July. The bike is registered and has spent it's life as a 1969. Seems pretty rare to me!?!?! AND REMEMBER...IT'S MATCHING NUMBERS !!! GOOD LUCK....A RARE FIND FOR SOME LUCKY PERSON.
