Vehicle Detail

2005 DODGE HEMI RAM R/T (SPORT) MODEL For Sale is a "One of a Kind" one owner Hemi Ram. I will do my very best to describe everything this truck has and everything that I have had done to it. This may be a long narrative, but this truck has been my pride and joy since I purchased it new in May of 2005 in Carlsbad California when it had 7 miles on it. Short and sweet version is that who ever purchases this truck will be getting a truck with lots of life left in it due to the care and attention I have given it from day one. I am a US Marine that is retiring and need to down-size to a smaller vehicle like a Jeep, Tacoma or Mid-size SUV. The Truck 5.7 Hemi Engine This truck has never been allowed to go over 4000 miles without an oil change, and each change has been with fully synthetic motor oil, usually Mobil 1. I use 5W-20 in the fall and winter and 5W-30 in Spring and Summer. the ignition wires have been changed to Taylor 8.8 (as seen in the pictures) and the coil on each cylinder fires both spark plugs on the compression stroke allowing for more power. I have actually observed better fuel economy, and average 20 - 22 MPG on the highway on cruise. I have the original plug wires and separator harness and will include it in the sale. The cold air intake is a Volant System and the filter is re-charged every Spring. I have the original air intake and will include it in the sale. I have only used mid-grade fuel (89 octane) with each fill up as recommended by the manufacturer. It has a new water pump installed by Hall Dodge in Virginia Beach as the original began to leak. The spark plugs are all platinum and have been changed twice which is before the manufacturers recommendation. The radiator has been flushed and refilled every other year as a precaution as I have a certain way of doing things. It has an OPTIMA battery that is two years old. The air-conditioning compressor was replaced last summer and it blows cold. Exhaust The exhaust is a 3" system from the cat back and has a Flowmaster three-chamber muffler. It sounds really beefy without the nasty cracking noise some trucks produce. Transmission, drive train, and suspension The transmission has had routine fluid and filter changes. There are two actual filters in this transmission and I have ensured they are both changed with each fluid exchange. The rear differential fluid has been routinely changed as well and I have ensured that the special additive that Dodge requires in these vehicles was added each time. Two years ago a strange noise occurred in the drive train and I took it to Greenbrier Dodge in Virginia Beach. They had never seen this before that a weld in the drive shaft had separated from the aluminum and steel, so I replaced the entire drive shaft and U-Joints as a precaution. The rear shackles have been changed out to allow for a 2" drop of the rear end. I have leaf spring compressors on the springs that can be removed in a matter of minutes if you want to tow a heavy trailer. The rear has a 6" total drop with the shackles and spring compressors so the truck is level. I have the original shackles and will include them in the sale. The front end has not been altered and recently has had all ball joints replaced, both inner and outer tie rod ends replaced, new shocks and new sway bar end links replaced. There was a clicking noise in the front end when I went over a bump. It cost me a lot of time and money trying to track it down, and the funny thing is, the clicking noise was from the sway bar end links which cost about a hundred dollars and an hour to replace. So in my effort of chasing this clicking noise, I virtually replaced everything in the front suspension. Exterior and Truck Bed The truck originated as a Hemi Sport. All the original badges and vinyl decals were removed and custom stripes were added. The stripes on it now were applied in March of this year making it an R/T model to include the badge on the grill and tailgate. The Toneau cover stripe says "Mayhem Motorsports" on it as that is what the truck has been named from the start. The Toneau cover is a Snug Top that was orderd for it in 2005 in southern California. It has carpet on the underside, a large light, and an electronic release mechanism that will need the solonoid replaced as it quit working about a year ago. I have several keys for the cover and gas shocks are used to keep it open. There is a tailgate assist bar installed to make it easier to raise and lower the tailgate. The truck bed is lined with LINE-X and is like new. I have never placed anything in the bed that would have ever caused any scratches, dents or gouges so it is flaxless. I have installed a bed-rug on the bottom with a tailgate section as well. There are some fluid stains on the carpet but as often as I clean it, it is hard to tell. The tailgate carpet has a small burn on it due to one of my "great friend's" allowing a BBQ coal to land on a towel and burn through it to my carpet. There is no damage to the liner underneath. I have included a Bell vinyl truck accessory box storage system as well. It can be used as a cooler as well based on how it is lined. The headlights, driving lights, and third brake light have been upgraded to a smoke lens system that is about four months old. I have the original lights and will include them in the sale. There is a scratch on the truck and it is on the left front fender as noted in the pictures. Interior The interior is all leather and is in great condition. It has been conditioned and cleaned regularly and there are no tears and only very slight signs of wear. The driver seat is electric with lumbar support and the center console folds up for a third seat. The console and seat have two storage compartments. The headliner and all fabric is perfect with no tears or burns. The windows are tinted dark in the back and in the rear passenger area with a medium tint on the driver and passenger side windows to keep it legal. There is a tinited eye brow running across the front windshield to help out with the sun glare. The stereo system was professionall installed and the equipment is as follows: Pioneer Premier CD deck with remote control and IPod adapter. Sirrius Satelight has been installed but deactivated as I didn't use it often enough to pay for it. Door speakers are all upgraded and the rear subwoofers are 8" Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers in a custom made box that allows the seat to fold down normally without interferance. The amplifier is a Rockford Fosgate 4-Channel. This system sounds amazing and even though you will not be bumping down the road, you will feel like you have your own private concert. I have the original radio and will include it in the sale. The truck is equiped with an alarm, auto start and a LOJACK. The only problem with the auto start is you will need a new keyfob as this one has a glitch I cannot fix. All the pictures should accurately described how clean and well kept this truck is. Wheels and Tires The wheels themselves are 22" Forte black and silver aluminum. The tires are Falken ZIEX S/T04 P305/45R22 The rims show some signs of wear on the center caps but are true, balanced well, and look great. Three of the tires are 6 months old and the fourth is a year and a half old. There is a full size spare tire mounted underneath the bed. It has new front brakes and rotors as of January. General From the moment this truck was purchased, it has been given the upmost care and attention. This truck has lived in San Diego, California; San Antonio, Texas; Swansboro, North Carolina; and now in Virginia Beach, Virginia. That meams no salty roads so the under carriage is perfect. The truck has not been abused, has been maturly driven, and has a full custom fit cover. The torque and power in this truck is exceptional and with the sound and appearance of it, it has always been a real head turner. No expense has been spared maintaining and replacing parts. When needed, only certified Dodge mechanics at Dodge dealerships have been used. Parts like MOOG, Raybestos, OPTIMA, Falken, Taylor 8.8 wires, Monroe shocks, Bosch Paltinum, Goodyear Gatorback Belt, and MOPAR are all installed. Please feel free to email me with any questions. I feel this truck is the best on the road and whoever owns it will be one lucky individual. As a disclaimer, this truck is sold as is with no warranty and sale is final. This truck is for sale locally so the seller reserves the right to end the sale without notice. An instant payment of $500 is expected at the close of the sale and the remainder of the sale price is espected within two (3) days of seller reserves right to re-list. I will USPS Priority mail you the title and bill of sale upon receipt of full payment and transportation to your destination is the responsiblity of the buyer. I will drive the truck a short distance to accomodate the shipper and buyer if needed but I am in the military so coordination will need to be made in advance. Thanks for looking and good luck.On Jun-09-13 at 06:26:17 PDT, seller added the following information: RESERVE LOWERED TO $11K. COME GET IT!
