This is among the last of Ferrari's famous 308 series, incorporating all the lessons learned from the earlier models. Boasting almost 50 more horsepower than the '80 - '82 2 valve 308s as well as 16" wheels - replacing the hard to find and expensive 390 mm TRX tires - the Quattrovalvole cars are considered the best driving of the model range.
This car is finished in the traditional Rosso Corsa Red with a very nicely renewed Cream leather with Red carpets interior. Although it has had some paintwork through the years there is no evidence of corrosion or accident damage. As a European delivery example, it features the lightweight fiberglass bumpers for a savings of almost 150 pounds. In addition, the Euro cars had slightly more power, and this one doesn't disappoint. It starts easily and idles smoothly with no smoke. It has good linear power and the transmission shifts perfectly with no synchromesh issues - even into 2nd gear when cold. The clutch is strong and the brakes pull evenly. The A/C blows ice cold as it should. The tires are virtually new Goodyear Eagle GT's. Overall, it gives the impression of a well cared for car. Although the odometer shows only 18,190 miles, it was non-functional when we acquired the car and therefore we are selling it as "true miles unknown". It has been fully "Federalized" and certified for California highway use. It comes with a full set of tools and jack.
