Vehicle Detail

Original owners (father/son) 78 Chevy Truck with 4wd. Little over 80k original miles.Has 3spd with low range. Short Bed. 350ci. All original. Would make a great restoration project.Engine runs but will need tune up. Haven't driven regularly for app 3 years. Pinion bearing went out in rear end. Will drive but don't want to tear up more stuff.Body in very rough shape (classic chevy rust).Would love to see it restored by someone who has more time than I do. Buyer to pickup only. Will not ship. Sold as is. MORE INFO....... I was using it going back and forth to work a few years ago. One day, all of a sudden I heard a racket coming from underneath. I was close by my mechanic so I took it app. 2 miles on to him running very slow. If you grab the back of the driveshaft you can shake the pinion/ yoke. I'm sure the driveshaft spider was not the problem but rather the pinion bearing. Later, he towed it back to my place and since I have only moved it around the yard. I took the pumpkin cover off to count the gear ratio and put it back on but didn't tighten the bolts or replace any fluid. I had plans on just replacing the rear end with a used one. But time and money took over. Therefore it will need to be trailered anywhere. It would be able to make it on a trailer under it's own power though. The seat is tan underneath. It was torn some but don't remember how bad. The spare is still underneath the bed and hadn't been removed in at least 8-10years. I do want everyone to know that this will need work to make roadworthy. (one of the dual mufflers is leaking also) This truck is a little sentimental but I don't see anytime in the next 10 years that I could have time or money to fix it up. I have finally resolved that it would be better for someone to fix and use or restore than let it sit and deteriorate until I get around to it. Only thing i would ask if someone restored it that i could get a picture of it when finished. Thanks
