For sale - a used 1962 Chevrolet 40 flatbed truck, 6 cylinder, 2WD, 3Spd manual transmission. Sold AS-IS. I had to put in the odometer reading in to list it but I have no idea how many miles are on it. It does not have the original bed. For the past 12 years I have used this truck to carry a 300 gallon water tank on private roads at a max. speed of 20 MPH up to December of 2012. When I started it up in the spring of this year there was a rattle in the engine when the gas pedal was pressed. There are four brand new tires on the rear - not even 1 mile on them and I put in a new master cylinder. There is a crack in the left rear leaf spring but it did not affect the truck carrying a 300 gallon water tank. I have three extra rims, another carb and the master cylinder I replaced. I am not a mechanic and did not feel like paying one to repair it. This truck is all set to be restored by the right person. Please don't make me junk it. Someone give it a good home. This truck is being relisted due to a failure to pay by the previous winner. A deposit of $500 is due by two days after the auction close with full payment due 7 days after auction close. If you win and fail to pay you will be reported to ebay. I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability but as I stated above I am not a mechanic. Buyer is responsible for all transportation/shipping costs.
