Vehicle Detail
I purchased this bus Labor Day Weekend 2001 and after 9/11 decided to paint it red, white and blue. The old paint was faded. Bus was painted with Rustoleum and it is starting to show wear and fade. Bus was originally from Arizonia according to the previous owner, I bought it in Chicago. Bus runs and shifts good and has a 1800cc with dual Webers. Engine is not original, I bought it several years ago because it was advertised as rebuilt. Nice custom wheels with good tires. I had the brake booster rebuilt last year and have not gotten all the air out of the lines but it does stop, sometimes it take an extra pump or two of the pedal. The rockers and dog legs have rust along with the front floor. Frame is solid but there is rust on the body. Back seat is full length that does fold down to make a bed. Fold up table and jump seat (behind the driver's seat) came from an early 70's Westfalia. Original vinyl is under the red cloth fabric that is on the seats. Front seats are from a Toyota Celica. Stereo system consists of 4 Blapunkt speakers, Kenwood Key Largo CD Player and a SoundStorm Force 250W X 4 ch amplifier. I see no reason why this Bus couldn't be driven cross country as is but once it leaves my drive way I won't guarantee anything. Remember that this vehicle is 39 years old. Look at the pictures and ask any questions. I can take more pictures of whatever areas you would like.
