If you’re shopping for a "New Edge" Ford Mustang this may be the car for you. This 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT Rio Red convertible is rare in that the car is mostly stock and has not been hot rodded. Other than shifter, firewall mounted clutch adjuster & quadrant there are no bolt on performance parts. Nearly everything on the car is a factory Ford part. The car was lowered and brake light bar installed prior to my purchase. Other than these additions the car is stock and unmolested. The car operates flawlessly, is a great cruiser and gets driven regularly on a daily basis 4-5 months out of the year. This adult driven, 3 owner vehicle with a current clear NY title and passed emission in 2012. I purchased it 9 years ago at 70k miles and I have have put 40k miles on her since. Driven daily during the summers and in the garage during the winter. The AC is cold, the heat is hot, and the top functions perfectly; there are no check engine lights. No fluids leak or rough idle. The engine is Fords bullet proof 4.6L V8 tied to rebuilt T-45 5 speed transmission. The brake rotors and pads were replaced in February 2012 (approximately 4k miles ago). The battery was replaced less than 2 years ago. The car has received Mobil1 5-20w full synthetic oil changes regularly. It rides on factory Ford wheels with 275 40/ZR17 Falken ZE502's Z rated tires. Inside the leather interior are in good condition . The sound system has been updated and a Clarion CZ-500 CD Receiver/CD player has been added to the factory Mach 360 system. The sound system is now iPod ready. You can also load up a USB thumb drive with MP3 and WMA files for an even larger audio library. A simple add on harness powers Clarion so the factory harnes did not have to be hacked. All lights and indicators & gauges work well as does the cruise control. The factory tonneau cover is included but not pictured. The paint has touch up areas mostly on the front and rear bumper covers. The driver’s side door does have a scratch as shown. There are also two small dings one above the the left front wheelwell and one by the left rear wheel well . The top functions well and keeps the rain out but it has seen better days and is not up to the quality of the rest of the vehicle. All of these flaws are pictured and really are the only things wrong with the car. It passed emissions just a few months ago and has no check engine lights.
