NO EXCEPTIONS. For those of you not familiar with the crazy Derek Specials, i've been doing this for years and a lot of people absolutely love it. All the crazy Derek Specials start at $1 and never have a reserve. I lose on some and win on some. These are always sold as is and I will describe them the best I can. Along with my own evaluation, I also have a mechanic go over the vehicles. Not every scratch and dent can be noted, so please bare with me. I post Motorcycles, ATV's, PWC's, Scooters and snowmobiles. As always, good luck bidding! This Crazy Derek Special is a 1999 Suzuki Marauder 800. This would be a perfect bike for someone that's looking for a less expensive bike. It does have a few small issues, but it's really nice for a Crazy Derek Special. This bike does fire up and runs pretty good. Not to mention, it has after market exhaust. If you don't want noise, this probably isn't the best bike. It will need a battery or a good charge. The tires are OK, but it may not be a bad idea to replace them in the near future. The main issue with this bike is that it has been down on the left hand side. (see pics) The tank is dented and scratched along with a few other blemishes on the left side. The right floor board is also bent a little. The bike rides and runs just fine so if you're looking for a first bike or even just something to save a little gas, this would be perfect. The head light and brake lights work, but the blinkers are a little off. One of the front blinkers does not go on and when you turn the right signal it makes both rear blinkers go on. My best guess is that it's a bad wiring job as these are after market blinkers. Overall, this is in great shape for a Crazy Derek Special. It would be perfect for a lot of people. Its torquey 45-degree V-twin engine has Suzuki's exclusive Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber head, an overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder. That helps it provide strong, instant response throughout the powerband. With the Marauder, even pulling away from a stoplight turns into an opportunity to savor.
