1968 PONTIAC FIREBIRD! RARE 4.1 LITRE OVERHEAD CAM INLINE SIX! A VERY COMPLETE AND RARE BARN FIND! BELIEVED TO BE AN ORIGINAL 51K MILE CAR! If you've been looking for the perfect car to build, you have found it. We found this spectacular Firebird in the back woods of Missouri, not far from Kansas City. It started with a simple stroll one Sunday afternoon. We headed South towards the Lake of the Ozarks, just a quick get away. It wasn't long after our voyage began that we found the old Firebird. We found her tucked away on the back side of some old farm land, her nose just barely poking out of an old pole barn. She was covered in dust and it did not appear as if anyone had even put a finger on her in the last twenty years. The Firebird is very complete and It does have its original and rare Inline Six with the overhead cam. This Firebird will be truly spectacular when brought back to its former glory. One thing is for certain, whoever obtains the Firebird can rest comfortably knowing that they won't be stuck chasing parts as this Firebird is very complete. Body: The body on this Firebird is complete but as you will see, it needs to be completely gone through. There are some great pieces which are still in good shape but it does need most of the typical sheet metal repair such as the quarters, floors, trunk, fenders, etc. Engine & Mechanical: From what we have gathered, the Firebird appears to retain its original drive train. From the rear end all the way to the motor. Interior: The interior within this Firebird appears to be complete and will need to be gone through. This Firebird is the perfect candidate for a frame off restoration Whether you bring it back to original or turn it in to a one of a kind Trans Am clone, this Firebird is destined for greater things. I don't anticipate it being here long due to the fact that we are not asking a whole lot for the Firebird. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Firebird early as we do have it for sale "locally".
