It was found here in Missouri, tucked away in a small town just west of Kansas City. It belonged to a collector here in the Midwest. As you will see, it is very original and complete. From what I have gathered, it has never had any major body work done to it. Aside from a singular repaint, this Chevelle has not had much done to it since its inception. It does retain all of its original sheet metal and has no bondo anywhere through out the body. Once this Chevelle is restored, I could see it easily bringing 60-70k. So if you're looking for a rare and very nicely optioned car to restore, you have found it. I personally would like to restore it as that was my initial intention but I have found another car that I would like to buy so the Chevelle has to go. Body: The body on this Chevelle retains all of its original sheet metal. It also retains all of its original glass & trim parts. The Chevelle is going to need quarters, front floors, and a trunk pan. The rest of the sheet metal through out the car is in pretty good condition. The frame rails are solid both front and back. The hood will need replaced as the Chevelle sat with only the very front of the hood hanging out of where it was being stored. We are including a brand new Super Sport hood (still in the box) with the Chevelle. We are also including four additional doors with the Chevelle, one of which has a power mirror. All four doors are 66's and will work with the Chevelle. Also included with the Chevelle is every bit of additional trim that we have, emblems which are still new and in their packaging, door felt, a brand new ($500.00) wiring harness, an additional set of tail lights, a very good grille, and a lot of additional parts. All of which are packaged away nice and neatly within the trunk of the Chevelle. Engine & Mechanical: The motor within this Chevelle did run when it was parked and from what I have gathered, does not appear to be locked up. The previous owner explained that with a new battery and some gas she would fire right up. Unfortunately the ignition is broken so I have yet to try it. I do have a new ignition for it, with keys, still in the packaging. Now I know that this is not the original matching engine to the car but I do believe it has its original 360 heads on it as well as its original intake and carburetor setup. I also believe that the two speed Powerglide is the original to the car. I also know that the rear end is original to the car as well. All of the equipment on the car is also original. The power steering and brake setup, the knee knocker tachometer, the center console with clock, the big alternator, the AC setup, the tilt column with the wood steering wheel, all of these items are original to this car. Interior: This Chevelle does have all of its interior. It is very complete. It does have its original dash, instrument panel, & gauge cluster as well as its original door panels & kick panels. The interior is all there and is ready to be gone through. This Chevelle is truly something you need to see in person in order to fully appreciate. It is a remarkable piece that someone is going to be passionate about building. I know I was. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Chevelle early as we do have it for sale "locally".
