This bike was bought from a UK police auction, imported to USA and rebuilt in 1976. stored and ridden only 6500 miles since. some refitting of modern seat and tank, since it was a police bike it had UGLY radio tank, etc. starts and runs well. only problem I am aware of is slow leak in front tire. and hte left hand brake and right hand shift, like al the old brit bikes were... paperwork shows recent top end work within a hundred miles, and normal stuff like replaced clocks and seat pan. serial numbers on engine are very close to the frame, within 40 serial numbers, not uncommon as as police bikes were fleet maintained. I think I have the original police tank if you want it and the original seat pan as well. just let me know. This is a 65 tank badge, so likely a 65 tank as well. PAINT THIS BLACK and have a 66 BLACKBIRD as a rider.
