Vehicle Detail

This is a reliable SUV that would make a good daily driver. It was my daily driver until 2 months ago when I bought another SUV. Tires are in great shape. Brakes are good. This truck runs and drives well and I would get 18-20mpg with the 4.0L six cylinder. The differentials have 3.83:1 gears so it has plenty of pulling power for a six cylinder. To give you an idea of value: I bought another SUV from a dealer a couple months ago and was offered $3000 for trade-in of this Explorer Sport. I had a cash offer of $3750 from a buyer who test drove it but I just wasn't ready to sell yet (I didn't want to give up my 4WD!!). I believe that was a fair offer for both parties and falls right in line with KBB. With a detailing job and a little TLC this would make a great vehicle for a new driver as well. Insurance isn't too bad due to the age and it runs very well. If you are not familiar with this version of the Explorer Sport, it's an AWD/4WD system. In normal driving mode, the selector is in AUTO which puts power to the rear wheels. If the system senses rear wheel spin, it engages the clutch in the transfer case and automatically puts it in 4WD. It also has the standard 4-wheel high and 4-wheel low selections. Bid with confidence, this is a good vehicle. The only issues I know of are there is a nickel size rock chip in the windshield just left of the passengers view. The chip has been repaired professionally but is still very noticeable (the resin didn't set right so they didn't charge me). This chip happened about a year ago and has been through a summer and a winter cycle with no issues (no further cracking, etc). The second issue I know of is the radio faceplate no longer lights up. The radio works and sounds fine, but the faceplate does not show a clock or what station you are on. You just have to listen for a stations call numbers to figure out where you're at until you get your presets set correctly. I have a clear Indiana title in hand. I can deliver this truck to you for $0.60 per loaded mile within 500 miles (prepaid via PayPal). I want a $200 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. I prefer cash for the balance but will accept Paypal if prior arrangements are made. Thanks for looking. Mike. PS: After listing, I see the pictures don't show the wear on the front seats that is typical on leather seats of this age. There are some wear spots and some cracking. The seats are still very usable but I wanted to point it out. No punctures or serious damage.
