It has taken me through Moab, over the Rubicon Trail, on expeditions, and more, and has never failed me, or even broken a single part. It is built to survive a meteorite strike and keep wheeling. That’s because of two reasons. I believe in wheeling “As slow as possible, as fast as necessary”. This has let me do the toughest trails without breakage. The Land Cruiser has NEVER been abused. Color is Dark Emerald Pearl (dark green). Read this detailed description, then scroll to the end to see the large size photos. The other reason is that literally almost every part on the truck has been upgraded to the best, highest quality parts from proven names in the 4WD Toyota world. 4WD Toyota Owner magazine has been a basis for much of the build; check out 4WD Toyota Owner magazine if you are into Land Cruisers and 4WD Toyotas. Engine: 4.5L 1FZ-FE inline six-cylinder with low 182,245 miles. That’s only 10K per year! Runs like a top. The PHH has been done with the upgraded hose and clamps from 1FZFEPHH dot com. Oil and filter changed every 3000 miles. New radiator, hoses, belts, brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter and viscous fan clutch done in last 10,000 miles. 1995 model year has air bags and OBD-II plug. Transmission: 4-speed automatic, all gears work great. Transfer case: High/Low functions perfectly. I have installed the JDM CDL (center diff lock) switch that plugs into the factory harness to allow the center diff to lock in High range. Slee transfer case skid plate. Factory Toyota front and rear lockers, of course! Rear locker actuator has a custom armor skid plate from Wild West Fab. Old Man Emu 4” lift shocks and coil springs, and steering stabilizer. Slee caster correction plates. A/C works fine. Battery: new Odyssey Red Super cool ‘cranked’ rear lower control arms from Wild West Fab. Made of heavy duty, thick DOM tube, they are angled for a huge amount of additional ground clearance. Easily one of the best mods done to keep the rig from getting hung up. No more dragging straight rear lower control arms rocks! Check the photo which shows the difference in diameter and ground clearance. Gears: Yukon Gear 5.29s front and rear. Installed at the Yukon Gear HQ in Washington. There is nothing like 5.29s. They allow for much more controlled low speed action on rocks and obstacles. They make moving bigger tires easy. In Low Range this truck can climb a tree. Literally. Front axles: upgraded both front axles and both birfields from Longfield Super Axles, installed by the late Bobby Long himself. The birfields do not click. Rear axles: heavy-duty chromoly units from Poly Performance. Tires: 37” Cooper Discoverer STT mud terrains with 75% tread. Wheels: The best. Hutchinson Rock Monster 17”. Built for the US military, made to survive IEDs with two redundant run flat systems; external AND internal beadlocks. For supreme reliability in a wheel it’s Hutchinson, period. We’ll get the body and bad out of the way now. The body has scratches and small dents due to trees in the Pacific Northwest and Rubicon rocks. It’s a wheeling and expedition rig and it has the scars to prove it. I hardly notice or care about them—it’s a Land Cruiser after all--but I provide photos so the buyer can decide. The right rear quarter took a hit at the taillight that required filling in the edge space with silicone. I've touched up various spots and scratches with correct factory Toyota 6M1 code paint. No known rust problems on the truck. Frame is great. Windshield has rock chips. Front passenger seat doesn’t move back, but all other electric moving (forward, lumbar, up/down etc) functions of the seat are fine. I’ve manually moved it all the way back and left it there. Driver’s seat works fine all directions. Slight leak from rear diff, front knuckle weeps oil. Front passenger air vent has popped out. The headlights stick on bright and you have to wiggle the stalk to get back to low beam. Majority of interior carpet was removed in the past; front area replaced with quality Boom-Mat anti-noise/anti-heat. Husky Liners rear. Panhards and steering rods: Upgraded to heavy duty Slee and Man-A-Fre adjustable panhard rods front/rear, and Slee heavy duty steering relay arm up front as well. Man-A-Fre adjustable rear heavy-duty upper control arms with heim joints. JDM crystal clear/LED tail lights. Cruise control. Leather seats with some minor cracking and wear, nothing major. Seventh row seats are gone, removed for Truck Vault drawer storage system (see below).Front seats have excellent CoverKing Molle system covers on them to hold gear. See pics! Factory sunroof. Front bumper: ARB with Slee A/C dryer skid plate. Bumper modified for improved approach angle. Winch: Warn M12000. This is, to me, the ultimate winch. Has saved me and innumerable fellow wheelers. Nothing stops it, nothing kills it, and it recovers anything. The Warn M12000 rules. I have also installed an in-cabin switch for the winch as well so you never have to leave your seat. Winch line: Again, the best. 125 feet of Master-Pull Superline XD synthetic with Factor 55 thimble. Rear bumper: Kaymar (Australian) with dual swingouts. One holds (and also locks) the spare 37” Cooper Discoverer STT/Hutchinson wheel, the other holds/locks a spare 5-gallon steel jerry can, which is included with the sale, and a 10-gallon compressed air tank (not included). Also comes with a Tire Mule Molle system spare tire cover/equipment carrier (items on Tire Mule not included). See pic! Speaking of spares, all my 80-series spares go with the truck. These include: front AND rear driveshafts, original front and rear axles (all four), two original factory birfields, U-joint parts kit (OEM Toyota), knuckle rebuild kit, various belts and hoses, spare complete tail light, and various miscellaneous items. Also the Toyota Factory Service Manual (FSM), a Haynes manual, Toyota tool kit, and the original Toyota owner's manual. Rock sliders: Metal Tech. Awesome units. Billet aluminum Hi-Lift mounts from FourTreks and 60” Hi-Lift are included with sale. Roof rack: BajaRack. Roof top tent: ARB in practically new condition, used only on latest trip to southeast Oregon. The ultimate in comfort with room for three, 4” thick foam mattress, integrated rain fly. Brakes: Upgraded disc brakes all around 8,000 miles ago with top-of-the-line Australian cross drilled and slotted DBA 4000 rotors, Performance Friction high performance pads and all new OEM Toyota reman calipers. I also replaced the original brake booster. It was functioning fine, but I wanted peace of mind that the brake system was at absolute peak condition. Factory stereo removed and upgraded with a Pioneer head unit/Scion T1808. Much more powerful and superior sound to the old OEM unit. Factory subwoofer works great. All door speakers upgraded with Sonys in front and Panasonic in back, and Pioneers are in the forward kick panel. Has iPod cable included. Cobra 75WXST handheld CB system installed. Power unit is hidden under center console. Mic plug mounted at back, handheld unit rests in forward cubby space. Wired to antenna mount near front of hood. JDM coffee cup holder installed. (non USA item). Also has a Toyota hood prop rod as backup in case the struts should ever fail. Rear storage: Truck Vault. Rear drawer system is a custom unit built by renowned drawer system maker Truck Vault. Check their web site for full info on their work. Multiple wide and narrow watertight locking drawers, beautifully built. Stunning quality, see pics. (Items shown in drawers and the fridge not included). I just checked their site…wow…their standard system for 80-series is now $4195! The Truck Vault storage/drawer system is truly the best you can buy. In closing, I would take this cross-country today with no hesitation. This summer I went on a nine-day, 1000-mile expedition to southeast Oregon. It saved us when a 1976 FJ40 lost 4WD going up a grade and she pulled it up. Purred along the whole trip. See photo. She's not perfect. The interior is spartan, she’s got her battle scars but this is flat-out the truck to have for zombies, TEOTWAWKI or just your yearly Rubithon, Cruise Moab, Marlin Crawler Roundup or worldwide expedition. Land Cruiser! Proven on those trails. From the ARB rooftop tent on down to the chromoly and Longfield axles, this truck is built to wheel. Speaking of, license plates stay with seller, sorry.
