This 1966 cherry red mustang is in very good shape. My dad bought it for me five years ago, the engine worked but we ended up having to gut the entire car. Now it purrs like a kitten and can be used as a daily driver. The car originally came with a 289 V-6 engine but it now has a 302 V-8 small block with only 40,000 miles on it. It has a three speed automatic transmission that was recently rebuilt and a racing shift kit was put in. It has drum brakes all around and it is RWD. Things we've replaced: front and rear bumpers, air filter, valve covers, thermostat, bucket seats, dashboard, headliner, brake pads, (just to name a few). All new suspension including springs, control arms, shackles, bushings, and hardware. It has a Mallory Ignition distributor cap and a new Edelbrock carburetor. There's no radio but we just put in new speakers, the wires haven't been connected, (of course). The carpets new but has started to come up on the drivers side. We built a unique steel box to cover the solenoid and a kill switch to help prevent theft. We also built a custom gauge box for the water and oil and they light up blue. The gauges on the dash haven't been connected but they do work. We also put in two extra brake lights in the rear window.There is rust on the top of the car where the paint peeled off, as well as a little around the trunk. There's no power steering and no A/C but it does have a new heater. All the weather strips need to be replaced. The tire's still have tread on them but unfortunately they are dry rotted.
