This vehicle is in absolutely pristine, collector-quality condition with 61K original miles. This car has been meticulously maintained and needs nothing by a new owner. I would not hesitate to drive this car cross-country tomorrow. We have recently inherited another vehicle, and a lack of storage space forces this sale. We’re offering this SC400 with no reserve, so somebody will get to own this car! If you are reading this, you know that it is very difficult to find a clean low-mileage Lexus SC coupe with V8 power, no gold package, no modifications, in the right color, that hasn’t been abused, with a clean title and history. This car has spent its entire life in Southern Appalachia (Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC) where it almost never snows and the roads are not salted. Here is a little bit of history and background on this vehicle: We found it last year for sale in the front row of cars at Lexus of Greenville. The Lexus dealer told us that this car was a one-family vehicle, and was traded-in on a new Lexus. For a Lexus dealer to sell a car this age tells speaks volumes to its condition, as they will typically sell older vehicles wholesale to lower-end car dealers. This car went through their usual 100+ point inspection that they provide for all of their used cars. We purchased the car with 44K miles, and I proceeded to use the car for my business as my daily driver. My job is as an outside sales rep., and I cover the Southeastern US logging a good amount of highway miles Here is our maintenance history, and we have all receipts: We installed a new timing belt at 49K miles. Despite the low-miles, since the 1UZFE VVTi is an interference engine, my independent Japanese-car-specialist mechanic decided it prudent to replace the belts due to age. Additionally he replaced the serpentine belt, crank seal, cam seals, and water pump at this time. The car got new Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S front tires at 44K and new back tires at 55K. New brakes and rotors resurfaced at 44K. Mobil 1 synthetic oil every 5,000 miles with either a Bosch or Mobil 1 filter. After 5K, the oil is still clean and honey-colored. If you remove the oil filler cap and look inside the engine, it is amazingly clean inside. This car was recently serviced at 60K. And the condition information: The interior looks perfect. There are no cracks in the dash. All plastic pieces look good. One of the pivot hinges for the cup holder has broken, but it is still functional. Owned by non-smokers since new. The original while pearlescent paint is in immaculate glossy condition. There is one small scrape behind the rear wheel, and a scratch here and there, but this is a VERY presentable car. See the pictures. There are otherwise no dings or dents. The sheetmetal is laser-straight down both sides. There is one scuff in one of the alloy wheels, and some small scuffs on the others. See the pictures. The engine starts and runs smoothly and exactly as it should. Additionally, this car has the 1UZFE variable valve timing (VVTi) V8 which became available in 1998, providing 290-hoursepower, which makes this relatively light car FAST! This is the same engine that they installed in the large LS400 sedan, and was an expensive option over the 6-cylinder model. Clean under the hood. The automatic climate control system works flawlessly. COLD AC! The transmission shifts, as it should. All buttons work, all LEDs and LCDs displays work. No check engine lights or other trouble conditions. The headlights are bright and clear, not hazy. All gauges and instruments read normally. The original speakers were crackling, so I replaced them with top-of-the-line Kenwood Excelon-series speakers. This would also include the built-in subwoofer. The factory Lexus premium sound system sounds great! CD-changer in the trunk. All power features like windows, mirrors, seats, steering wheel, sunroof, antenna, etc. work just fine. The power steering wheel sometimes makes a plastic on plastic scraping noise when it telescopes out. There are no modifications, no fart-pipe exhaust system, no new computer chips, no aftermarket performance parts, etc. This car is virginal and factory-original aside from the battery and aforementioned items. There are no leaks, funny smells, shakes, shimmies, creaks, groans, rattles, excuses or b.s. Shipping & Delivery information: The car is in Greenville, SC. We live 20-minutes from GSP International Airport. We are 90-minutes from Charlotte, NC. 90-minutes from Columbia, SC and 2-hours to Atlanta. $500 deposit to be paid 24-hours after auction end, with the balance within 10-days. We can store the car for up to 30-days. We will make arrangements and work with a shipping company with all shipping expenses paid by the buyer. We will ship internationally through the Port of Charleston with all shipping expenses paid by the buyer.
