It is all original w/ 108,005 miles on the car. VIN LD231761. It came from Sterling Colorado and was garaged most of its life. The paint and interior is original for the most part. Glass is all original marked SOLEX w/ green tint all the way around. It has factory power steering, power brakes and AM radio (that works). Factory 325 Poly engine w/ 4 barrel carb and 3 speed Torqueflite transmission. Everything works on this car to my knowledge. I have added many new parts: complete new dual exhaust from manifolds back new correct color and weave carpet lower front seat all new foam and NOS correct matching material new correct trunk mat new kick panels and rear window deck cardboard panel new battery new hoses, belts, one heater hose, and new radiator overflow tank 5 new radial tires new color matching seat belts on front seat new air filter element new wiper blades new trunk weatherstrip newly restored original jack (no handle however) In second photo, the curved license plate chrome mount bar is not shown on the car, it is now installed. The grill lower bar is not attached but I have it...as the grill was hit at some point by what appears as a pheasant or large bird. It did push in the grill about 1/2" and it dented the upper stainless trim just above the grill. The paint has chips and lots of gravel nicks down low as car was driven on some gravel roads in its day. The cloth windlace around the doors is fraying and is real hard in places so it needs replaced. The last 2 feet is missing at front of front doors. The rubber door weatherstrip on all 4 doors is in good shape, still flexible and can be retained (but if you are picky, put new on). The headliner has a few stains round edges, but less than most...no tears or rips. The back seat and door panels are like new. The brakes work fine, but I did not pull drums off to inspect. They seem to pull slightly to one side, so may need adjusted. If it was me, I would rebuild master cylinder on firewall and maybe put new shoes all the way around for peace of mind. Trans shifts real smooth, no problems at all. I did drain it and put in new pan gasket and fluid, and drained/replaced rear end fluid too. There are some dings and small dents here and there, it is not a restored car. The stainless is real nice, as are the bumpers. There is a thin spot of paint on driver top fender, some speckles of surface rust are starting at that location. It is NOT a restored car, so expect some flaws in the paint. There is a spot of rust just starting on lower rocker in front of driver rear tire. I have crawled under every inch of this car, no rust on floors or 1/4 panels or front fenders or back of car. I did find some rust holes and pinholes at the seams where flat trunk floor was joined w/ side drop down panels. I cleaned this up and put in small patches of fiberglass mat and 3M filler over that. I put NAPA RUST TREATMENT that turns to black oxide over entire trunk, then sprayed w/ truck bedliner spray by Duplicolor. It looks like new in trunk area now. The car really moves down the hiway, smooth and powerful. It could be an everyday driver and fun summer car. It is located in Encampment, Wyoming just 90 miles west of Laramie and 40 miles s of I 80. I am 4 hours NW of Denver Colorado. You are responsible for the transport, but I can help the driver load the car. I can also deliver on my trailer if not too far away for expenses, please email for quote. For questions or comments.....please use the ASK A QUESTION link on the bottom of the page.
