Vehicle Detail
Product Description You are bidding on a 1983 Ferrari 308 GTSi 24,287 original miles (This car is NOT one of those deferred maintenance nightmares) ZFFMA 13A8DOO48555 I purchased this car in 1984 in Scottsdale from the Ferrari dealer with only 3600 miles on the odometer. It has never seen rain, has been garage kept the entire time, never tracked, always had oil changes on time using only synthetic oil, the original leather seats treated every 6 months, etc. This car has won numerous awards and the service history is documented and complete. The original Ferarri tool kit is in the trunk, and the leather bound service book behind the seat. The original floor mats are in near perfect shape, and the leather seats are still pliable soft. 15K Mile Major Service PLUS improvements was completed 4 years ago (Receipts for over $20K) and included: - All rubber hoses switched to premium aircraft hoses including the long run from front to back - Engine was removed, heads were rebuilt, new valve seals, regrind, and brand new valves - Water pump, timing belts, upper timing bearings, were all replaced - CV joints and boots were replaced - Clutch and pressure plate was replaced for good measure - Engine was bead blasted, Intake manifold professionally power coated and firewall polished - Gas tanks flushed and fuel pump and filters replaced - All shocks rebuilt by a shop contracted by Lamborghini to rebuild their shocks - All brakes were rebuilt and pads replaced - All bushing replaced with new Poly-Urethane versions - All four tires have less then 3000 miles on them - The skid plate was polished, the rear exhaust cage bead blasted and professionally painted - The entire engine compartment and all wheel wells were repainted - The Bendix fuel injection system was rebuilt Performance upgrades include: - Original anemic speaker system replaced with high end Boston Acoustics Mid-Woofers and door sill mount tweeters. A power amp discreetly mounted under the passenger seat combined with a CD player - A custom tuned exhaust was built using the original headers, which were jet coated, catalytic converters removed replaced with stainless steel high flow mufflers and resonators which not only improved horsepower and performance, but improved on the legendary sound of a 308. - Power robbing accessories such as the AC unit (It's a convertible) were also removed. - All incandescent bulbs were replaced with LED's including a turn signal conversion - Both headlights were replaced with and HID system for a much brighter illumination at night - A battery tender port trickle charges a sealed AGM battery - The radiator was recored and rebuilt this year Includes: - Paint is in excellent shape, and original (Always waxed and covered) - Removable Hard Top is included - Hard top stow cover for behind seat storage - Wind Shield Wipers (I remove wipers on all my cars since they never see rain) - Service manuals on CD - Original factory spare tire - Original leather bound service book and owners manual - Original trunk tool kit - The original Grand Touring Cars (GTS) flannel car cover still near perfect after all these years Imperfections: - A 3/16" paint chip on the drivers side door crease (Touch up paint should hide this) - 1/2" Wear mark on the drivers side leather seat ribbing where the seat belt rides. - 1/8" Paint star crack on the passenger door - Both heater/vent motors in the nose need to be remounted. Ferrari used a plastic mounting plate which eventually cracks and can be replaced. I left them that way for over 10 years. - In 1986, I backed into a dumpster and creased the passenger quarter. A well known exotic car body shop in Fountain Hills AZ repaired the damage. Shipping and Handling Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and costs I will assist with coordination.
