1974 VW THING Type 181 1600 dual port 12 volt system with alternator RUNS GREAT, SHIFTS GREAT EVERYTHING WORKS, turn signals work, but does return by itself after turning. NEW ---Tires, TMI exhaust system, AIP electronic distributor ( I have original 009 dist ), Exterior paint (Dupont Imron ), Rear seat upholstery, head lite rims, tail lite assemblies. Floor pan is in great shape, no rust thru spots ( not even under the batt ) This car is an Arizona car. I have a lot of the early maint receipts, original owners manual. The hard top, spare tire carrier, interior roll cage, ( which could be used with a Bimini Top ) ,front push bumper, rims, hub caps (minor rust ) , are all original Thing Shop items ( with receipt ) Side windows/curtains are solid (wind resistant ), but need to be replaced to REALLY look good. Sale will include vw towbar and towing lights. I believe the mileage is correct at 113,000 , because of maint recpts in 2003-6 with high 90's mileage.
