Hello and Thanks for Looking! When is the last time you saw a 1955 Chevrolet 2Dr Sedan with factory installed power windows and seat? Usually it's the convertibles or hardtops. I do not want to list this vehicle, but I have another 55 project that I would like to get running this summer. I found this 55 in a barn near Bellwood, NE. I was told it has been in there since 1970. Evidently, the vehicle was involved in an accident with the right fender and left quarter. The vehicle was then parked. Body & Trim This body is very solid, you will not start a restoration with a more solid 55. I do not see any rust in the floors. A few of the braces have small holes on the ends and it has the typical rust in the trunk rear corners. It also has the typical rust in the front quarter sections. I do have a set of quarters that were removed from a convertible. I would splice in a repair section on the front, as they have been cut off a little short where the quarter meets the inner rocker. I also have a replacement fender for the damaged right fender, it will need a cap installed. The left fender will also need a cap. All the trim is in good condition. There are a few dents and dings on the body, but nothing major. The windshield has a few rock chips and the side glass has the normal scratches. Rear glass appears to be okay. I do also have another front bumper for the vehicle. It appears the vehicle has the original paint except where they spotted the hood and trunk lid. I took a buffer to the vehicle to bring back the shine. Drivetrain The 265 engine and powerglide transmission are out of the vehicle. The engine in the photo was sitting next to the vehicle in the barn. I was told it was out of a 55 and I can not confirm if it is the exact engine out of the this vehicle. Some of the components are missing from the engine. The oil pan has a rust hole from sitting on the ground. If you do not want the engine we can work something out. It appears to have the original rear end. Interior The interior is complete. The dash was disassembled and sanded by someone. Appears they had plans to paint the car black as the interior trim moldings have been painted black.
