1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429 J code ram air Super Cobra Jet Drag Pack with 3:91 gear and a 4 speed. Red on Red bucket seats Car has been completely disassembled and put on a rotisserie and srtipped to bare metal. Car was 99% rust free and needed only minor body work. I purchased 4 other Cobras and a N code GT to use the best parts I could find to complete the resotration. The car at some time in the past was raced and some holes drilled in it and some things cut up like the package tray and such but nothing major. It had frame connectors on it so I left them there. All Chrome was re-chromed and all stainless professionally polished. Every nut and bolt has been clean, reconditon or replaced with hardware from AMK. All suspension, steering and brakes are new including all new stainless brake and fuel lines. New gas tank and NOS fuel sender installed. Interior was re-done with NOS seat material that was sent out and new covers sewn from it. NOT reproduction simulated comfort weave but real comfrot weave. Looks so much better!! New headlinder and new ACC carpet with full length vinyle inserts. New windshield was installed and all tinted carlite glass is nice. List of new items is to long to list. The list of NOS items I used is as follows: Front and rear valance, stone shield, ALL marker lights front and rear, Cobra grill center bar trim, dome light, heater switch, rear defroster switch, heater knobs, door lock knobs, Cobra dash emblem and bezel(not a re-pop), right side cobra headlight bezel, rear tail light lens, horn switch, radio knobs, cigarette lighter and I'm sure I'm leaving somethings out. Now on to the drive train: It is non matching but has a D0VE-A block. It is now a 528 cubic inch big bore stroker with all forged internals with custom made Diamond pistons and Ford Racing aluminum heads. Motor was bulit by CarsbyCarl.com. and is rated at 650HP and 650FTLBS It includes a Edlebrock Troker II intake and a quick Fuel 830SS carb and Hooker 6115 headers coated by Nitro coatings in Nashville TN. custom Lunati cam and pushrods. Canton 8 quart pan with windage tray. I have made it look as stock as possible and running all the correct parts on the outside as possible. It has a stock ford distributor with a Crane Xri conversion and a NOS Autolite dual vacuum advcance. Has correct D0OE-A rebulit waterpump and correct D0OE-A CJ/SCJ fan blade. real nice oil cooler with a NOS adapter. Correct SCJ water pump pulley and correct SCJ D0SE smog pump pulley. I was in the process of installing a non-functioning smog system and have the correct brackets also.Correct hoses and clamps used thru out for correct apperance. 3 inch H pipe with Ultra flow mufflers and 2.5 inch out the back with NOS exhaust tips. Transmission: Has a complete New McLoed Billet flywhell and clutch set-up with full ceramic clutch disc. Has correct factory stock D0OE-A bellhousing and all stock original linkage. RUG-AU top loader with all new seals and gaskets and a very nice rust free california driveshaft and rear axle housing with very nice original 429 GT leaf springs with the D0OE-A stamp on them. N case center section with original Ford 3:91 gears mounted to a New Eaton 31 spline Tru-Trac. New Lakewood traction bars also installed. New Magnum wheels 51X7 front and 15X8 with B.F Goodrich tires mounted on them. I have a Marti report for the car and the options are: 4 Speed close ratio transmission, 429 Super Cobra Jet/Drag Pack, Visibilty light group, F60X15 Belted Tires w/ raised white Letters, Sport Slats, Power front Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Rear Window Defogger, AM Radio, Dual Rear Seat Speakers, Tinted Glass complete, Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels, Tachometer. As you can see it is a very highly optioned Cobra!!
